He did play in a 433, all his games in midfield before this season where in a 433 like against Arsenal in 2015 where he stole the show with Kondogbia.

May be true but so is Blind, what's the guarantee that he actually brings the qualities we need? He may be intelligent and with good positioning but is he physical enough for the premier league? Does he have enough stamina and mobility to do a Kante role? In a 433 you anchor that whole midfield on your own, it's a lot more demanding than playing as a defensive CM in a double pivot.
I think people just assume he's right for us because he's a DM and played in a very good Monaco team. Of course there are other DM's out there, Mourinho gave his list and it seems like Fabinho isn't on it yet people are obssessed with the idea that despite what Mou thinks this guy is perfect for us.
Kondogbia is a pure DM though? Wouldn't be the same at United, he'd be playing behind two much more attacking CM's

Fair play. Seems like you've clearly watched him play more than me. Do you think he'd be the right fit for us? I've always seen us needing a pure DM, very energetic who can make many tackles and shield the defence very expertly. Do you think he fits that or would he be a very different style?
My honest opinion from what I've seen (which isn't much) is while he's decent I would be very unsurprised if Mou didn't want him. He doesn't seem like a Mou type of DM. Seeing Pogba play so brilliantly next to Kante against England that's what I feel like we need

Think Jose is going for 433. Lukaku up top. Perisic on the left. Pogba Herrera and Matic in the middle. To be honest I think thats a very balanced midfield.
