Interesting view, but it'd mean we'd be trying to bring 5 players in over one summer which is more than most would expect.
Most expected the 1 of each in the 3 departments down the centre, and a winger.
While I partly agree, wasn't it reported by Simon Stone that we tried to go for Keane as well as Lindelof, that we wanted to bring them both in? Also last summer we tried to sign Kante but he turned us down for Chelsea. I think if our targets are available we will sign them, I don't think Mou is strictly restricting it to just 3/4 signings. Signing too many players is bad but if Mou likes a player I think we'd go for him regardless of how many other players we might sign
Also we still haven't signed a left back....

Am pretty sure that we progress more targets for a position than we'll buy, like we've just seen with the Lukaku/Morata situation, so that if one team is asking too much or it becomes too difficult we're not left stuffed. I can't see we were ever going to be buying 2x £30m defenders with Bailly already in.
However, if we're open to more than 4 transfers i'd obviously be fine with that!

I think Shaw will get another go at left back, backed up with Blind and Young if need be. And then Rojo will be an option there too. And probably better than under Van Gaal.

Goal scoring is our problem. We were already strong defensively and creating lots of chances. We need a player who knows how to finish chances. That should be our priority...not a DM.
I want to see MUFC attack and win games by 2-3 goals, not defend a 1 goal lead.

I think we could be trying to hijack Bakayoko if Matic and Dier are a no go now.
Fabinho would suit us better if we played 4-3-3 with 1 defensive midfielder and Pogba/Herrera more advanced.
If we are adopting the 4-2-3-1 with Pogba as the attacking midfielder (Sneijder role) I think Bakayoko would fit along side Herrera better at DM- as well as being able to take a more advanced role in a 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 (if Mourinho is brave enough to try that at United).
Christ if we hijack Bakayoko too, the Chelsea players will be terrified to go on their pre-season tour in fear of United hijacking the plane.
Well, we were linked with him for months before it became clear he was heading to Chelsea. Perhaps it was press rubbish..
I think that if this summer has shown anything its that we are all guessing with United now.

We sign players that we've been scouting for years, generally around 2 or more. This is definitely one of them.
If Monaco are willing to let Lemar, Fabinho and Bakayoko all go in the same window. We should just hand them €160m and laugh at Chelsea and Wenger. It'd be worth it just to see the fan reactions
On a serious note though, although such a deal would be near impossible, it gives us reinforcements exactly where we need. Would love Fabinho, but he and Bakayoko might provide synergies not available (atleast not in the first season) between Fabinho and any other midfielder...

I searched through the likes and couldn't see it, but once I followed Fabinho it shows him. Yeah he liked it.
Perhaps he doesn't rate him as highly as many on here?
