Is he good? Can't say I've watched him outside of their European run last year.
Hasn't seen him play but should be a good signing for 50m Euros, they needed the numbers in midfield.
You not watch CL last season?
He doesn't really fit us that well. Too slow to be our starting right back in my opinion and we've got Matic at DM so he wouldn't get ahead of him. Sidibe is a much better fit, he's the type of full back we need.Genuinely think that if we'd have been interested in him, then we'd have got him previous season. Rightly or wrongly, he doesn't seem to interest us much.

Monaco said they weren’t going to sell him last year especially with Bakayoko, Mendy, Silva and Mbappe leaving. He and Lemar were a no go.We would have got him if we wanted last season. Former player of Mourinho and Fabinho was open to the move.
Matic was available and so Fabinho signing was pointless.
That’s pretty conclusive, what a shame he could have been a good player for us. Hope we’ve got bigger plans.
Nah. Monaco were only selling a fixed number of players. Fabinho and Lemar were not for sale due to selling Bakayoko, Bernardo, Mendy, Mbappe (loaned), Germain etc.We would have got him if we wanted last season. Former player of Mourinho and Fabinho was open to the move.

Although it looks like they're still neglecting their defence, which is the main problem area. The scousers setting the pace early on, the midfield is a problem position for them which they look to be addressing early.. I hope we follow and strengthen our weaknesses sooner rather than later. Especially being a World Cup year.
It’s done. His wife was supporting Liverpool in the CL final.
If he's a proper DM, then this signing made no sense for United. Would've been another body. Matic has been our most consistent and top3 player this season and should be in his prime for next two-three years atleast.
This guy has been available for two seasons now and yet no big club has tried to sign him as a priority. He can't be that good.

That is not what I'm saying. Fabinho and Lemar weren't for sale to any club last summer as Monaco had already sold 5 or so other players and said they weren't for sale that window.Ah yes, I wasn't aware that Monaco only refused to sell to United and gave a free run to everyone else.
If we wanted him we would have bought him and someone else would have missed out since we would be giving the most money.
That tends to happen when you offer whatever deal the selling club want.Dont you hate the speed at which other clubs seem to move from “breaking news” to agreeing a deal. This news literally broke like a few hours back.
I guess it doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things.

From what I've seen of Keita, he's a lot more attacking than that and has a lot of quality going forward (as well as having a brilliant engine). A midfield with those two and AN-Other suddenly looks a lot more daunting, especially if they add a new keeper and more depth in attack. How will he fit with Keita? Presumably the pair of them will be playing in holding roles with someone else (Wijnaldum? Lallana?) in front with more license to roam?
On the assumption (which may be wrong) that Keita is also a defensively minded midfielder, it seems a bit excessive
Fred has no problem playing as a number 6 and does so for Shaktar when covering for Stepanenko when he ventures forward.
What difference is there between Herrera and Fabinho. Herrera played as a good 6 in 16/17 and can also play the box to box role. He's a fine back-up to Matic.
