Lewis has lost 47 races in a row. Do you guys think he can get to 100?
Very good post.
Fair point with the one source, most of the stuff I have read is basically saying the same .Tbh all those rumours appear to be coming from one source and that source didn't seem very reliable.
Not saying he won't be fired but don't think the one rumour being passed around by different "journalists" means much.
As far as his guilt goes, I've no idea tbh. I'd lean towards guilty but then there was reports of the messages being tampered with. Do I believe those reports? Not really. But we will likely never have enough info to make a perfectly informed judgement call unless it goes to court.
Anyway at this point the internal struggle likely has nothing to do with Horners guilt or innocence. It simply appears to be a number of different people making moves to gain more power, control and money since Dietrich died.
Also read somewhere that they have an issue with simulator software... well it has been broken for three years thenMercedes F1 boss Toto fears that the deficit suffered by the team’s W15 car last weekend in Saudi Arabia is rooted in a “fundamental” issue hiding under the silver arrows’ skin.

I have to agree, I remember being shocked when Lewis joined them, but clearly he knew what they had. Also read somewhere that they have an issue with simulator software... well it has been broken for three years then
This is why I can't see any of the main title contenders wanted to join Mercedes and it's probably why Lewis is jumping ship.
Post 2021 they're the F1 equilient of United after Fegie left, after seeing what SJR has done with us I am surpised he hasn't done more with Mercedes seeing that he own's a third of it.

Any of those 3 would jump at the chance to drive at Mercedes.Merc have come second and third (I think) in the championship the last two seasons and red bull have Newey who is so far ahead of anyone else for ground effect cars, there really isn't much anyone can do against him at the moment.
I would expect one of sainz, Alonso or antonelli to end up at Merc next season.
RB are far from pleased with Haas’ Kevin Magnussen and will look to raise their displeasure with Formula 1’s governing body the FIA.
It was a rough outing for Magnussen at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after picking up 20 seconds worth of time penalties, though he still played a very important role for Haas and team-mate Nico Hulkenberg, which for RB has proven “difficult to take”.

What kmag did was awesome use of strategy. It's the other drivers and pitwall fault for not finding a way through.Remember when everyone praised Perez for slowing Hamilton down in Abu dhabi in 2021 by like five seconds in a lap? Or when ocon did it in Monaco?
I see no issue here at all with what kmag did. It wasn't dangerous.
With how bad the racing has been maybe a new set of technical directives need to be drawn up and a move away from the ground effect era again, all the drivers really have been them and the ground is a plank, it's 3 seasons now and there is still problems with itI think we may see a technical directive to raise the height of the cars on health and saftey grounds. Norris has followed Max and Russell saying the cars as they are currently are impacting driver health. Sainz appendix issue was cause by the porposing on the car apparently.
Apparently its going to affect the longevity of driver careers in F1.
Alex Albion spoke to a doctor about a link between porposing - seat lap belts and driver health.

How will they ensure cars dont fall off the track? If they built that track, it will be stunning, but the logistics and cost are both huge.
I have asked the same questionHow will they ensure cars dont fall off the track?

I think that would be a 2026 onwards re-design. Lifting the current cars floor by 5-10cm would be the simplest temporary solution for now. With how bad the racing has been maybe a new set of technical directives need to be drawn up and a move away from the ground effect era again, all the drivers really have been them and the ground is a plank, it's 3 seasons now and there is still problems with it

There a 1 hit wonder, it's just that hit lasted for few years. The fundamental issue is the car is shit again.
Ironically though wasn't it when Merc and Ferrari ran their cars so low to the ground their plank wear was called into question last year that they were basically also closest to RB? In other words, be careful what you ask for because I have a sneaky suspicion RB can raise their ride height far better than other teams can and it not seriously affecting performance, or at least not in proportion to the loss of performance the others would experience.I think that would be a 2026 onwards re-design. Though in all the interviews ive seen with him thats one of the things he highlights as being a big part of why he is there. I think the media and certain elements feeding them are clearly looking to have fun trying to continuously paint RB as some terrible place to work but thats opposite of the opinion you seem to get when you see chats with all their staff not called Horner. In some ways continued success is worse than mediocrity though bc eventually people get too used to it and stop feeling a sense of accomplishment. Things are weird like that I guess.newey’s clearly not there for the team culture.
Alternatively they could put fatter tyres on the cars
