Either Charles is messing around or Carlos is seriously putting the pressure on early. Seems he has well pipped Charles' times across all practice sessions unless I missed one. Im really hoping for some spicy driver battles at Merc and Ferrari.

Ferrari were on the C5 with Red Bull on the C3, so although there's still the engine power and fuel load unknowns it's a quicker tyre. Mercedes could be sandbagging but again, they were on the C5 so seem a bit nowhere. Russell said he liked the car yesterday though so they could be hiding a chunk of pace.

Ha Max not even bothering with practice start/safety restart practice.

Ferrari still looks good, impressive little lap from Russell. Still feels difficult to reach much into all this other than that it seems at least the ones closest to the top last season probably still are, save for AM who seem to continue to lose ground.

Has anyone tried to watch drive to survive yet? Trying but it's just crashing, have tested by trying one of the Sunderland documentary episodes and that's fine

Looking at the descriptions, Red Bull aren't even mentioned as having an episode about them, which you'd think would happen after such a dominant season, do they refuse to allow it or something?

Working fine for me, first episode is all about Stroll / Aston. No real point following RBR as it's bit too predictable.

Watched one and a half episode of DTS on the plane to Manchester today. First time I've ever watched DTS. Found it a bit.. meh tbh. Lines of commentary that aren't real, stuff taken out of context.. it's all just a bit fake. F1 dipped in hype sauce. Or whatever

i found the NASCAR version of DTS on netflix a good watch. Especially as i know so little about it

F1 dramatised for an American audience.

You want to start from the front. because it means you've got the other 19 drivers. starting behind you.

Yeah - everyone is predicting another borefest of a season unfortunately. I think it is interesting to see Ferrari and Merc performance improvements in hope for the next season. Got to find something interesting to look forward to!

Hopefully Ferrari can maintain a good showing not won since 2007 (still don’t expect them to).

After watching , some of testing, I fully expect Max and RB to be the front runners.
Hopefully Mercedes, Ferrari and one or 2 others will at least put some pressure on them, but I seem to remember saying the same last season, that panned out well !

The paddock seem to think Ferrari are the front runners of the group to challenge RB, as it looks like they have got the handling of the car right this year even in windy conditions, which should lead to less tire deg issues

First FP of the season in on Thursday.
I have set up a Fantasy on Superbru, it was good last season, I see no reason to change it.

Same here. Watched for the first time first episode and it was bit meh and underwhelming.

So it seems like Ferrari are becoming clear favourites to challenge redbull.
feck. Now I’m getting my hopes up. Why Ferrari, why? Such teases!

Thanks for doing this, just joined, will send link to my Husband too as he was in the last ones. Hoping I win again

So, if the races are on Saturday, does that mean that everything is essentially moved forward a day? Eg practice starts Thursday, qualifying Friday, and race Saturday?

Also are any of these races sprint weekends?

Don't worry. They ll find a way to cock it up. Listening to some team principale and technical directors though it doesn't sound like the likes of McLaren, AM and also Merc seem to think they re really ahead of them so it ll be interesting to find out whether they re right, or whether the Ferrari hype is real.

Ferrari have had second fastest car for two years for pure pace, but their tyre degradation was one of the worst on the grid, so on race pace that averaged to 3rd-5th fastest car, depending on the track.

i don't think anyone knows yet(except them themselves, but that's questionable too) if they made good car or not when it comes to race pace this yearwebut we will know when the season starts. I wouldn't be surprised even if they are P1 in qualifying, but race is completely different scenario for them.

PLAN A, PLAN B, PLAN C

and Ferrari long model mocking Lewis' seat is brilliant.

This is freaking awesome:

The full res video of the drone makes you realize how fast F1 cars truly are. Not sure I've ever seen it be presented as well as this. In some ways the dry weather run with Lawson more so but seeing the rain trail around the car of Max' lap is gorgeous as well.
