F1 2023 Season

I will say about the Sprint Races, even though I still don't like them, I've really enjoyed two of them this season. So perhaps there is hope for them yet. The last one was great

Not a fan of the sprints personally, I like that there's more F1 to watch but I just don't think it works. Imagine Utd are playing City on Sunday but the day before they play a 30 minute game with the winner getting a point, it's just a bit pointless and devalues the main event. It needs to be its own entirely separate event but the only way I can really think of making it different enough is to do reverse grid.

Thank feck the international break is over. But why do they not have F1 during one of those. It's annoying. Guess my life has gotten dull.

I kind of look forward to it these days. No excitement of a nearing match day, cancel of plans to watch United, excitement as the team presses and passes in the first 15 minutes, then misses two goals, concedes one and continues in an inexplicably terrible way for the remaining 70 minutes. Then you spend the whole rest of the day or two depressed and irritated. And repeat.

It couldn’t work for a plethora of reasons, but we all want to see a sprint race with the drivers who are at the top of the championship in the car of the worst constructor and vice versa.

I’d love to see Max in an AT fighting Hamilton in a Haas and Leclerc in a Williams.

And RB terrified that Sergeant will write off their car at every corner.

You know it's all about money if he s still in that seat next year. Surely he s worse than Mick Schumacher and Mazepin. Hell he makes Goatifi look like a hero.

Nobody is worse than Marzipan. His shiteness as a racing driver was only matched by his seeming cuntiness as a human being.

So who is gonna be good here? McLaren presumably will be fast in sector 1, RB in sector 2, and a few slow corners in sector 3 so could be decent for Merc?

Difficult to call on a sprint weekend. Ony one FP to dial the car in and thats you then in parc ferme once qually begins a few hours later.

You'd have to go with max and the two mclaren drivers, they have the cars for a track like this. Mercedes is a unknown with a new floor.

Merc floor seems to be working.
Bumpy track seems to be a problem for a few.
How it stands in Practice One at halfway...
1) Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes, 1:37.394
2) Max Verstappen, Red Bull, +0.104
3) Lando Norris, McLaren, +0.211
4) Yuki Tsunoda, AlphaTauri, +0.606
5) Kevin Magnussen, Haas, +0.706
6) Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, +0.830
7) Sergio Perez, Red Bull, +0.926
8) Daniel Ricciardo, AlphaTauri, +0.931
9) Zhou Guanyu, Alfa Romeo, +0.974
10) Oscar Piastri, McLaren, +1.026

I know he's coming back from injury so maybe needs to be given a bit of slack but I don't get the hype Ricciardo still receives, I know he used to be strong but he's been poor for a while

Edit - just as he puts in a decent lap

What the hell has happened to Aston Martin? Strong for the first few races now fallen off a cliff? Almost the opposite of McLaren's season

they seem to be going down the wrong path for car development this season. Wonder if they have a correlation discrepancy between track and wind tunnel.

Max Lando Lewis for me. Not ideal, fingers crossed.

We are level on points so it may come down to Lewis and Charles... Or probably Perez as he kept messing up my predictions when I used to put him on the podium, he's now been excluded from it
