F1 2023 Season

Ooh thank you very good point of course he will have his penalty

I'm narrowed down to 3. One should be the easy pick but is somewhat unreliable and has fecked my fantasy many a time. There's one I'm leaning towards but...

I'd be disappointed if I had paid to watch the qualifying, isn't there some room for manoeuvre around times e.g. start earlier/later - check the radar unless it's constant rain.

Or use the sprint qualifying slot for the official qualifying then either use results from the last race or the same grid order for the sprint
I plumped for Norris on Pole.
I would be mad if I did also, but it was forecast, qualifying looks in major doubt if it does not ease up.

We are in the same boat as I've gone for him too, gut feel... My other hunch is Perez as he'd get it if they don't run as he's 2nd, but if they do qualify normally I don't trust him, he's messed up my fantasy way too much this year

Lewis was my other choice, I might change yet, agree with Perez, he was also a choice.

Those are the 3 I'm toying with, Lewis because he's good in the rain but his free practice time was poor, Perez is technically the safe bet but isn't because he's unreliable, or Lando as the wildcard, just got a hunch about him...

Still put Max to win!

FP1 times are not worth looking at, Lewis is one of the best wet drivers, but that McLaren is just so god at the moment.

McC has the highest drag rear wing that should give more downforce in the rain.

Norris is decent in the wet too.

But I might plump for Perez, and bet that quali will be cancelled

Princess George being Princess George.

It is just down to bad luck that Spa has seen back to back tragedies. It's not that the corner has unique problems, it's just cars spinning, colliding and re-entering the track in no visibility, which could happen anywhere in heavy rain. Just look at Suzuka last year.

It's an aero outwash/spray problem with F1/2/3 cars nothing track specific.

Exactly. F1 and other formula cars have been flat through there for about 30 years but theyve only recently started spitting themselves off the track. The compression, lack of visibility and bounce at the top dont help matters, but the real culprit is the FIA fecking with the rules and creating cars that are operating on a knife edge in the wrong conditions.

After all ground effects were banned the first time round for...guess what... being really fecking dangerous in high speed corners. The more aero that is on these cars the more unrecoverable they are when they're not pointing in the right direction.

Qualifying delayed by 10 minutes
The start of Qualifying has been pushed back by 10 minutes after that slightly late finish to the F2 Qualifying that preceded it.
That means we should be under way at 4:10pm.

The big shower here is over and it seems to stay dry for a while after this, with the emphasis on 'seems'.
Quali on an increasingly drier track quite likely at this point. #F1

Russell running medium drag rear wing (better for rain and corners). Hamilton running low drag rear wing (better for straights).

Should be interesting qualifiers, we'll definitely see some more rain.

Decent conditions now, not much spray except for the first few corners.

Shame for Ricciardo, had a good lap. I am not sure he even gained there anything tbf.

They should fecking make them drive faster in the charging lap in the final two corners, that's ridiculous to watch.

What on earth is going on with that rear wing with Ferrari?

Surely someone will try slicks in few minutes?

It's a long lap though.
