From what I have read, this track kills the softsHow is it possible that Sainz's softs were slower than mediums after 5 laps? They look dead now.
The whining about "being pushed off" was just hilarious.Russell 5 second penalty for going off track to gain a place.

For their sake I'd hope so. Max is once again going to be a huge threat if they dont maximize the benefit of starting higher up the grid. Or so it would seem to me anyway.Yeah, I am more surprised why are they even using them. Could it be that they are just doing the testing and risking for the main race?
Don't think there has ever been a race where Lewis was behind Max without him whining about Max supposedly exceeding track limits.Just concentrate on your driving Lewis not what Max is doing
Yeah he can be a real threat to Max tomorrow it looks like. And yes im already assuming the rest up front wont win.Pleased to see Lewis holding second, not to happy with the 5 second gap to Max but it’s just the sprint and I doubt his mediums are any good.
Another crap rule then, because why not.https://www.planetf1.com/news/lewis-hamilton-f1-2026-ruling
So FIA set to annouce a ban on wind tunnel / CFD design work for 2026 cars until january 2025. To stop some teams i.e. RedBull gaining an advantage going into 2026. They didnt say RB, but its obvious who they mean.
Also a few team bosses have said due to the cost cap they wont be developing their 2025 cars which will be a tweak on the 2024 cars. So it looks like if you dont nail your car performance by the summer break of 2024 your stuck with that underperforming car for all of 2025.
I know they have cameras in the windtunnels, but I wonder how the control/monitor the use of CFD. Are they all using the same software and shared account or something? (Half serious question).https://www.planetf1.com/news/lewis-hamilton-f1-2026-ruling

"...Teams are required to keep logs of all work done in the wind tunnels and must be sent to the FIA within 2 weeks of the end of each ATP. The teams must also archive photos of the models used in each ‘run’ for possible inspection by the FIA. The International Federation can carry out an audit at any time..."I know they have cameras in the windtunnels, but I wonder how the control/monitor the use of CFD. Both Aston Martins will start from the pitlane today. Fernando will run previous iteration of floor with Lance running Austin update optimised for the race so team has a back-to-back comparison.
They know that Lance is 0.5 sec slower on his good day than Alonso. If he manages to reduce this gap, they will know how much better the whole thing is if the weaker driver manages to show some progress.
Theres a story to be told here. About how AM started the season with the 2nd best car on the grid and have been going backwards ever since. Normally thats a correlation issue between the wind tunnel and the track.
I wonder if their scale model is wrong. This happen to Mercedes recently and they fired aero guys who created the scale model.
"A lot"--> "Feck off, Brundle"Fernando totally ghosts Brundle.
If it was a couple years, I wouldn’t rule it out. But he knows how much faster he is then others and is not taking any risks and avoids collisions. If someone can squeeze Max off the start and have accidental contact that would be brilliant thanks.
russell if its anyone. It will be him.If someone can squeeze Max off the start and have accidental contact that would be brilliant thanks.
Yeah but George won't.If it was a couple years, I wouldn’t rule it out. But he knows how much faster he is then others and is not taking any risks and avoids collisions.
Probably - may have 2 and 3 swapped around. This is a lot to do with tire managment. So looks like its gonna be
1. Verstappen
2. Norris
3. Hamilton
