F1 2023 Season

Aye, but none in fp1 and hardly any in fp2! It's not difficult!
Whats difficult is to imagine that as an excuse for finishing 8 tenths behind his teammate on a track like this.
For reference thats the gap between 1st and 16th in Q1,

The lack of prep is not an acceptable reason when he had qualy simulations in Fp3 and finished a decent 11th. Its not like he's been dropped into the car at the last minute like Lawson FFS

Question is will Stroll Snr also pull out of F1 if his son leaves it? AM have Honda engines coming in 2026 so if Stroll Snr and AM pulled out then what happens?
Why would he pull out after investing a shitton of money in new factories etc? He might be a cnut but he is not dumb

If all he wanted was for his son to get a seat, he could just buy one from Williams/Haas. He bought a whole team because he genuinely loves the sport and wants to win. If Max says he wants to drive for AM with Alonso, Stroll would dump his son before the call even ends.

He wants his son to become World Champion, thats why hes in the sport. Lance isnt going to lose that seat to any driver on the grid.

He's improved the marker value of that team substancially. If he got bored and walked away he wouldnt lose any money.

Nice to see a Ferrari on pole in Monza, but unless Max's car goes pop, I think he'll still win tomorrow.

My man Albon still killing it though.

Meh, seems a good explanation to me. Fp3 isn't cars all doing qualifying laps you know.

Yeah though what Marko says should probably always be taken with a bit of a brain of salt, he already said they set up for the race and didn't expect pole today. Which is once again kind of ominous if true.

Yeah I don't think he can allow that Ferrari to pull a bit of a gap though. They look incredibly fast, so if he has a bad start with Leclerc up his arse then you never know. I just know that when it comes to race day he's always on it, regardless of where he qualifies.

Ofcourse its not just doing qualy runs, but he got the qualy prep and yet was terrible at it. So yeah that's inexcusable.

He didn't get the prep, for reasons already mentioned. Why would you insist he did when he clearly didn't?

Because I can see the data that he had a decent number of qualy runs in FP3 (hard and soft tyre runs) just like the rest of them, what else do we need?
Yes it may not be optimal that he didnt get one more session, but that he hardly got a minute in the car like you said in your original post,,,certainly not. He is not a rookie thrown in the deep end (This is his eighth season ffs), these guys have had enough races where one practice session was enough to go into Qualifying

The fact he missed FP2 due to something that was unplanned will be hurting him more of in the race as he didn't get a representative race simulation.

Its my last post as I dont wish to keep this going, you can choose to believe what you want, the data is there to see.

Rosberg's doing his best 90's Jason Donovan impression today I see.

I don't think the difference will be top speed or DRS, as much as speed and calm cornering coming out of parabolica or two Lesmos which will alow Red Bulls to overtake, considering Ferrari will probably be all over the place in comparision with them in those corners. Ferrari is still purposing as feck.

Reminder of the 2000s. But parking there and probably not allowing to race is 2020s special.

I noticed that in qualifying and massively

How hard is to move the fecking car, amazing stuff.

Leclerc stating the cars not great at turning right…at Monza…where 85% of the turns are right hand turns.

Classic response: ‘Everything is fine’.
