F1 2023 Season

Would help if I read the rules
There will be no mandatory pit stops during the sprint race. Only if a driver faces a puncture or repairable damage like a front wing or its rains, only then would we see anyone making a pit stop.

You can always pit during a sprint race, dont know where the idea came from that you cant.

It will depend on how long the cars are stuck behind the safety car. We know Wittich is utterly pathetic but I wouldnt put it beyond him to run 10 laps in formation, by which point it'll probably suit softs.

Thought so. They did it in the last Sprint race i think.

FIA were always going to be ultra conservative at this circuit given its recent history and incidents this year.

Heres a stat that will probably never be matched or bettered. Fangio has 4 teams. Mental. No one is on three. Did anyone come close with a third team?

Drivers to have won WDC with more than one constructor:

Michael Schumacher (Benetton and Ferarri)

Jackie Stewart (Matra and Tyrell)

Graham Hill (Lotus and BRM)

Alain Prost (Williams and McLaren)

Nelson Piquet (Williams and Brabham)

Emerson Fittipaldi (McLaren and Lotus)

Niki Lauda (McLaren and Ferarri)

Jack Brabham (Brabham and Cooper)

Juan Manuel Fangio (Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferarri, Mercedes)

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren and Mercedes)

Pre WDC era but Nuvolari would have won in multiple cars. Alfa, Maserati and probably Auto Union if not for a certain German.

Also worth mentioning Tom Kristensen who won Le Mans in 3 different cars

I will look them up afterwards
