F1 2022 Season

Apparently max and perez were running different floors and will do all weekend. RB trying to learn more about the floors for next years car.

Sky f1 said this track suits mclaren and mercefes i.e. higher downforce cars.
It's more mechanical grip than downforce. Ferrari + red bull have the most amount of downforce, but the rear ends of Mclaren and Mercedes are excellent. They're excelling in the tight/twisty tracks like Monaco/Budapest where it's more about acceleration and putting the power down out of corners.

Times don't tell the whole story, Max had problems in FP1 his gearbox lasted 10 mins and then struggled in FP2, both Merc's looking good.
Both Ferrari's will be looking to take advantage if Red Bull cant get it together, but I expect them to in FP3

Its looks so close going into qualifying. This could be another one like Hungary where Russell could grab pole over Ferrari and RB

Just as I thought Max in FP3 is massively faster than anything in FP1 or 2.
Yeah they said yesterday their setup was shite and they'd be working hard to improve for today. They did improve but it still doesn't look like a perfect setup. Really missing the data from FP1 here.

Vettel's form hasn't really been great this year, he is not far from retirement anyway. Shit car doesn't help either.

Alpine brought this by themself by extended Ocon multiyears and Alonso by a year basis. Should have signed Alonso and Piastri multiyears in the first place.
100% they should have made the tough call and got rid of either Alonso or Ocon, but they couldn't do that and wanted to keep Piastri benched.

Not surprised he decided to take his own future into his hands. He should have been in f1 last year but they couldn't find him a seat.
