F1 2021 Season

Ugh Norris had the pace for p4/p5 today, messed it up when it mattered. Frustrating. Will be a tough race tomorrow from P9.

Poor from Perez. A second behind VER. It would be something to see RIC still in a Red Bull and it’s at times like this I have more respect for Bottas who consistently gets close to HAM at least.

100 poles..... oh my. Wonderful achievement. Proud of Lewis

He's a bit ridiculous isnt he. Yes, most dominant car in past decade, but the guy shows he is so easily in the GOAT bracket without any argument.

And yet there is plenty that say he is lucky.
100 Poles for a driver, most teams are not even close to that number.

I take zero notice of those who say that Lewis Hamilton is lucky. Brainless thing to say, especially when they have probably never been near a racing car, let alone a F1 car.
He is consistently rewriting F1 racing history and hopefully much more to come.

I am against this sprint race idea but quali is the same 3 cars in the top 3 time and time again it's getting boring.

Same here, should be reverse grid order at least.

Qualify, start the main race on Sunday in that order, and do the sprint race with reversal of that.

The records just keep tumbling. He's a machine.

Likely to grab his 8th WC, the most in history. I'd say he's had mixed luck. Lucky with a very competitive Mclaren so young. But then it turned into an absolute dog of a car and he had the barron years as Vettel won with ease. Fortunate to jump ship to another competitive car and not languish like poor Alonso. Could have lost to Massa if it wasn't for the "That's Timo Glock" moment. Due to the pit entry fiasco, no team orders, and engine failures missed out on 2 other wdc. A similar list I'm sure for other top drivers and then of course there is Senna and what could have been.

Most wins. Soon to be 100+. 100!
More wins than Vettel and Alonso combined.
More wins than Senna and Prost combined.
More wins than Mansell, Stewart and Clark combined.
3rd in percent wins behind Fangio and Ascari but they only won 37 combined.

32 more poles than any other driver, and basically repeat the list above but for poles.

Just crazy.

100 poles. Incredible achievement and a record that’s likely to stand for a long long time. He’s had some absolute crackers too, the Singapore 2018 will always stick out though. I remember watching it live and my jaw dropping further & further as he went through the lap. Probably the single best lap I’ve seen in Formula 1.

The session today was very competitive. It’s amazing that two teams can design & manufacturer different chassis, stick different power units & gearboxes, strap 2 different guys in car and be within 0.03 of a second of each other over a track of 3 miles. Total technical & sporting brilliance.

Hope it’s as tight throughout the rest of the season between them.

Personally disappointed with the McLaren performance, felt they left something out there today. Ferrari look strong and Ocon is (so far) schooling Alonso.

Tsunoda was a bit out of line with his comments. He stuck a wheel in the gravel and didn’t get out of Q1 as a result. He called the team out for not giving him equal machinery with his teammate, which is pretty poor form in only his 4th race. I’m sure he’ll be getting a stern talking to behind the scenes at AT tonight.

Bottas needs to clear the Ferrari or his race is done after 6 laps.

Am I being harsh in saying Sainz has been a bit underwhelming at Ferrari? I know the car isn't great but Le Clerc is doing a good job in it.

Same for Perez at Red Bull, when will CH start to get twitchy....

Would like to see a replay of Mazepin blue flags on Lewis...
