F1 2021 Season

Why would he do it on purpose, surely there'd be a risk in damaging his own car and obvious health risks. I know your not but anyone claim it was needs word with themselves.
It has happened before. Again not saying that was the case here. But drivers have taken overs out of races before on purpose. Dont ask me why they would do that, who knows.

 deluded.

Norris Perez and Russell all got punished for lesser mistakes, causing collisions that entailed no danger. Lewis' put Verstappen's life at risk with a worse driving error and only gets a 10 second penalty.

If anything Lewis got off ridiculously lightly for that, he's the protected one.

Frankly though I didn’t think any of those penalties in Austria were right. Except maybe one.

And your dramatism is ridiculous. Every time every driver makes an overtake unless it’s on a straight and one car is faster than the other, there is always risk. As much as you could argue Lewis was overly aggressive going in there, Verstappen could have backed out too and given him more than a split second turn out. But neither backed out. Why? Because they are racers. This is racing.

I’m ok with Hamilton receiving a penalty. He wasn’t malicious or deliberate but he did cause the accident. But your bullshit idea that he was reckless and out Max’s life at risk is just silly.

Looks like the Merc is struggling too, seems like they found a bit of one lap pace but at the expense of shredding tyres.

So why don’t we stop the race until Max can get a new car? Stupid that they guy that takes him out benefits it… In the end I guess Hill and Schumi did nothing wrong then. Just “race incident”

Are you proposing potentially postponing the race and sending everyone home every time there is a crash?

They didn’t touch when they were side by side though so why is that relevant? From what I can gather most experts are arguing that the cause of the crash is that neither driver backed out, yet you’re arguing that’s exactly what Lewis did.

He tried to back out. He braked early. Verstappen also did too. He stopped turning in for a split second. Did either back out fully? Of course not. They are competitive racers. They want to win. They both wanted to give each other the smallest possible amount of space. It went wrong. It didn’t for all the previous corners. But this is what happens when it’s racing at high speeds.

I’m fine with Hamilton’s penalty though. He caused the accident. But let’s not pretend he was reckless.

Regardless of how you see it, the upshot is that Hamilton's only championship contender is now out of the race and he'll he gain ground as a result. Fortunate yet again.

And if you think he and Toto wouldn't have spat the dummy out if the tables were turned then give your head a wobble.

Off course they would. Just like if those wanting Lewis banned would be saying it was a racing incident. Everyone's a hypocrite in this situation.

Was Max not racing aggressively also? Max could have equally braked but risked taking a line that was risky and lost

I think sometimes people get so caught up on hating Hamilton their logic goes out the window,

You say sometimes, but what you mean is "every second of the day".

 Get a grip.

If Hamilton “took out his opponent” the FIA wouldn’t just be giving a 10 second penalty. So let’s not pretend the FIA’s penalty decision in any way validates your brain dead opinion.

Another one with the emojis I see, pathetic, at least there’s a coherant sentence as well. The 10 seconds are given because this is Silverstone and because Hamilton/Toto have the political power, we all know this. Hamilton isn’t going to kamikaze into Verstappen, but he knows 100% where Verstappen is going and he doesn’t back off as he should. Verstappen has the right to stay in his place given he’s ahead, hence he is taken out - this is never a place to do this move - never. I’m braindead!? I’m not going to be offended by some doofus on the internet, so let’s just be happy Verstappen isn’t exactly what you described, look at his car and the speed involved.

If everyone sticks to the racing line then there could literally be no overtaking, they'd just follow each other round from start to finish.

10 seconds is like the yellow card when yo
You don't account for understeer. Or racing at speed. Irrational then if not emotional.

I don’t believe that he didn’t deliberately pushed him to the left. And of course it’s massively unfair that Hamilton gets a 10 second penalty while Verstappen has 0 points. I do agree that calling Hamilton a cnut was too much. But it is a cnutish move.

If there’s a safety car, could Hamilton take the penalty under those conditions ?

I don’t understand what you are laughing at Carl, do you have something to say or do you handle everything with emojis when you don’t have any arguments? A cowardly act performed by the once greatest to get the Red Bull out of the race, this could have ended badly. Max is ahead, Hamilton knows where Max is going in that turn, he does it on purpose.

As said, dirty rat. Buy hey, a damaged competitor car and an injured Verstappen, great week for the Germans.

I may not be he worlds biggest Hamilton fan. But calling him a dirty rat is either completely outrageous or outright trolling.

Don't think so. I know you can't serve other penalties under the safety car, was rewatching Canada 07 yesterday and it got discussed in that race. Think it would be added to your post race time.

Totally agree. The amount of dodgy manoeuvres Max gets away with combined with the rule change to favour Red Bull and slow down Mercefes this season.

It seems obvious who the FIA want to win this year.
Agree. I am glad max is ok though, he is Senna like in his aggression.

Yeah, I didn’t say you were brain dead. Rather your opinion was brain dead.

Anyway, I’m not going to engage in a debate with someone who is living on some other planet.

Yours,
Doofus.
