F1 2018 Season

Wonder just how bad the Mercedes is behind traffic.

Bottas was nothing short of shite in Australia but Lewis is obviously a much better driver.

Can he drive around the perceived problems or will he be stuck fighting for maybe 5th/6th at best?
 
Kimi and Seb need to be very careful and don't repeat what they did in Singapore back in september.

If Melbourne is anything to go by they should be fine, Lewis was able to follow Seb without a problem, getting to within 0.5 from him multiple times and bottas was doing the same in the sister Mercedes.

Think he needs at least one of three things to happen to have any hope of getting any higher than 5th: another first corner incident for Vettel, somehow getting himself up to 5th by the end of the first lap, or starting on the softs turning out to be a massive advantage. If none of those happen I think he's in for a pretty lonely afternoon, aside from possibly seeing a lot of Magnussen's rear end.
 
And Verstappen has a puncture. And Ricciardo is out, shocker for Red Bull.
 
Shame for Ricciardi.
 
Shocking start to the season for Verstappen. Bit of a gift for Lewis with Ricciardo going out, hopefully Bottas can back Kimi into the pack a bit.
