F1 2017 Season

That was the best race I have seen for a good few years.
Well done to Stroll for his best ever finish, cant help but like Danial got lots of help but a win for him.
But WOW Bottas steals second place.
Lewis and Seb gave us a good action , Seb with some very good overtakes.

The thing about Bottas' drive is it depended on him unlapping himself under the SC, which was pretty ridiculous considering how low the tyre temperatures were dropping and he was the only car who was lapped.

Mental race- entertaining though.

What a crazy race. Hamilton should not be asking for a teammate to slow. Vettel being a shack of 5hit and got away with it. Merc team must be shooting themselves. Dominate and give it away with an error.

It was worth a shout if Bottas was alone but Hamilton didn't know he was closing in on Stroll.

Fun race but Hamilton losing it through no fault of his own and Vettel ramming a competitor and just getting a stop-go leaves a sour taste. Pleased for Stroll and Danny Ric though.

Too soon in the season for that nonsense imho.

They used it already in Spain (kind of) and there's no doubt Ferrari would do so. Obviously Bottas is closer to Hamilton but you can understand why Hamilton asked and he was rightly shot down and did not ask again.

I'm so angry. Massa would have won the race if his car didn't have those faults.

This after Spain, Russia and Canada where he was unbelievably unlucky in other chaotic races.

Funny the drivers laughing about how mental it was.

He also couldn't have complained if he got a penalty for the Kimi incident. Good recovery but a lot of luck.

Did anyone else think the FIA were kind of set on creating a bit of artificial entertainment today? The first SC is fair enough with a recovery truck on track but the 2nd one should have been a VSC. It's a very long track and the temperatures under SC dropped way too much creating even more incidents that mandated Safety Cars. Then the 2nd SC ensured there was so much debris on track they had to Red Flag it.

Brilliant stuff.

So glad for Stroll, did really well to pick up the pace against Bottas' onslaught and almost made 2nd.

Also Max is a bit of a car breaker isn't he? Seems to be quite often that he breaks down whilst Ricciardo is a bit slower and cashes in by looking after his car.

If I remember right the clock continues to run but they add on the time during which the race was stopped, essentially the same as stopping the clock.

But I could be wrong, I've not looked at he regs for years.

Whilst the race is suspended :
a) Neither the race nor the timekeeping system will stop, however, in accordance with Article 5.3 the length of the race suspension will be added to the maximum two hour period.

How did Seb ram into Hamilton? Both hands in the air and the car swerved or he truly steered towards Hamilton? Couldn't see from my stream.

Hamilton is a dick for breaking there though, pure Coulthard vs Schumacher incident
