Yep, this project is going to be dead before the end of the evening. Good thing too. It's obvious no fans want it, and a lot of the managers involved weren't consulted before the announcement.

Biggest mistake in footballing history maybe? Or am i being a bit too extreme there?

Real Madrid fans looking like total pricks, they were fully in favour of this shit.

I can't wait to watch us playing Real every week once everyone else pulls out.

It's quite bizarre to see people react so positively to this latest Chelsea nonsense and take every bit of news about this literally, getting emotional and not thinking for two seconds.

This Super League was extremely unlikely to happen, at least in the coming two years. Which was blatantly obvious given how amateurish the news was brought into the world, how unprepared everyone involved is at the moment, other than a cheap website there was no infrastructure in place at all. Obviously a club like Chelsea knows this so they can now act like they're taking the moral highground after joining the plan first to put pressure on UEFA - they're a scummy club who owe their success to the ridiculous spending of a shady Russian billionaire. And distgustingly people on here are celebrating this and lapping it up like a bunch of sheep.

The whole Super League is more of a threat and a negotiation position than anything by the big clubs involved. Throw out a generic press release and an amateurish website in the week UEFA is introducing their new CL set-up, create a meda shit storm.

In the meanwhile the UEFA is now being forced to create a lot more funds for the new CL, there's talks of finding investment parters to pump 6-7 billion into the new Champions League.

"UEFA is in discussions with Centricus Asset Management over a 6 billion-euro ($7.2 billion) financing package to overhaul its flagship soccer tournament and stop plans for a new breakaway Super League, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Switzerland-based sporting body is working with Centricus on a plan to fund a new-look UEFA Champions League tournament, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information."
If they could have pushed this through now, they would have

City & Chelsea will have pulled out with some immunity from repurcussions from the FA and UEFA. We'll get a hefty fine. They won't.

HAHAHAHAHAHA feckERS. Now get out Glazers you feckin wasters. You too Woodward.

I hope we hold on long enough to not get sued by Perez now. Surely he’ll go after the first cowardly teams.

Man Utd, Liverpool, Madrid and Juventus Semi finals. Who's going to be the Super League Champions?

Arsenal And Spurs won't be participating because they should never have been there in the first place.

We aren’t pulling out we’re in too deep

The blame will be on our shoulders for all this and rightly so. One could hope that this could finally see the glazers fecking off though.
Why are we in deep? The whole thing has collapsed, you cant stay in it with 2 other clubs ffs

It feels wrong cheering on City, Barcelona and Chelsea.

If Liverpool pull out before United, it'll reflect really poorly on us.

Unfortunately, I think this is what will happen. Madrid and United will remain in it until it's only them two left.

I’m genuinely shocked that it’s falling this easily.
Power of people. If you are so many you can defeat anything.

I would not let clubs that easy. Point deduction and banned from next year CL / EL games. There must be concenquences.

Now we need this red club to announce something.

This race is on.

I can live with being one of the last clubs to pull out, but only if we're in front of the scousers.

If we don't official withdraw and just go out as the thing collapse then let the PL dock us points for being twats.

Has it fallen? Or has it achieved what it set out to?
It's fallen. The Champions League reforms announced yesterday were coming anyway, they didn't change because of the announcement on Sunday. It's collapsed because it was the pet project of Perez and the American owners, particularly our dear leaders, and the others have backtracked seeing what a load of nonsense it was and how negative the reaction has been.
