I don't remember such an outcry when Chelsea and City basically paid oil money to buy the title. How is it different this time? At least now we will be able to compete with them financially with the ESL cash.

Does anyone remember a few years ago where Nigeria were so crap in I think the World Cup qualifiers (I hope I’ve remembered this accurately, being a Nigerian ) that the Nigerian president tried to ban the national team from the World Cup altogether? And then iirc FIFA imposed a fine on the grounds of government intervention? Anyway my point is I wonder this’ll play out now now seeing as there’s talks of BoJo and co. getting involved

Klopp, in his ranting roundabout way, saying he doesn’t like it & distancing the players/coaches from the decision. Not as forthright as his statement in 2019 though.

if Real/City/Chelsea win the champions league the trophy will be sent in the post

Amazing how the managers were as in the dark as the rest of us. Klopp has gone up in my estimation until probably full time with not now saying he supports it

Everyone is losing money now, Sky especially.

Klopp is completely fudging this. If this was Ole he’d be getting slated.

Where were the top football officials when all these people were getting possession of our clubs ?

16 years in, Gary Neville finds his voice regarding the Glazers and its as if he's waiting for applause. Too little, too late Nev.

About time Gary - why did he NEVER say anything against the Glazers when we were protesting against them?!
Because SKY and these pundits are suddenly realising that they may be losing their lolly to others!

This is where keeping your head down, as the sport gets whored out to any billionaire who wants a cash cow, gets you. He's had less than nothing to say until yesterday, when his employer suddenly is being frozen out.

Which part of this being "all about money, them not caring about the clubs and fans" hasn't been equally applicable to Manchester United for every day between the day the Glazers "bought" the club and this time yesterday when this news started breaking?
His employer is actually in talks to broadcast the super league

All this talk about trophy cabinets and history as if performing now doesn't matter as much.

Would they have been OK with a Super League in 1995 including Blackburn? Or in 1980 with Forest after their back-to-back European Cups?

A friend of mine remarked that 20 years ago, Blackburn and Newcastle would've been in the Super League. Spurs wouldn't. Maybe Valencia or Deportivo in Spain, maybe Sampdoria or Napoli in Italy.

Still doesn't explain why Spurs are there when they've won feck all.
