Did he ever find the ridiculous ticket prices at Arsenal "arrogant, elitist and shameful"?He'll change his tune once they ask him to present the pre match

Reported for having a different opinion. Mature of youSeconded, already reported him twice today
Its not just me that doesn't like it though is it? Its millions of football fans who actually the watch the games and are pretty much unanimously against the proposal.
I think its probably your interpretation of what, when and why a govt should and shouldn't get involved in matters effecting their electorates that is causing our difference in opinion here.
Football being the largest sport in the UK, and all the supporters being against the move and unable to stop the event by themselves because of the power imbalances between supporters and owners.
This is exactly where govt should step in on behalf of the people who elect them to protect them from owners abusing their powers. That is what is happening and I think it needs to be stopped and the best tool for that job is the govt which has the power to stop it.
You are not one of those libertarian let capitalism rip type idiots against govt intervention on ideological grounds are you?
@mods ban this wum. Continually derailing the threadIf we're playing in both these leagues we'll essentially need two squads, will there be a second string? How will the players adapt between the competitions? Fred has always been good in the CL but shaky in the PL. Would have have been signed to play mostly SL games? What's the squad registration size going to be? So many things we don't know yet.
Could we register a completely different set of players to play SL and PL football? Is that a loop hole?
Can we have some thread marks for this threat? Want to see where the official announcements were posted and the subsequent meltdowns that occurred.
I don’t think they kick us out the prem, but who knows. However the fact we are being threatened to be is a pretty big red flag that we’re in the wrong. This is being touted as a replacement for the Champions League. The reality is that we'll get kicked out of the English Premiership and the Super League will be all we have left. No Premiership, no English cups, no matches against anyone other than the "founding members". It makes me feel quite sick.
and how much would they charge?Who will end up broadcasting this plastic circus?
Let's tag the OP to keep it going @esmufc07I asked for that a few thousand posts ago. Quoting to raise visibility
All right, I guess I'll just join the rest of you in the notion that football is now dead.Mate, nobody cares about your loopholes or trying to dress this up as a positive for fans. Give it a rest.
Amazon?
They own the football club and whatever money it makes. So in a way it's their money. They can even choose to not spend whatever United make and there is nothing we can do about it.
That's true.@DomesticTadpole Even if we somehow stayed in the EPL, this is going to make a mockery of that competition.
Let's say on a Wed evening Man Utd have a game against Barca and the winner of that will get top 4 of this superleage and get $ prize money, whatever amount is on offer which I imagine is high.
What do you think Man Utd will do if they have a premier league game a few days before, which is now worth a lot less because there will be no champions league places on the line. Will they a) go full strength for the integrity of the game or b) play a second string and place more emphasis on the midweek game.
Maybe they will have a raffle?
Yeah, asking questions about the SL in the SL thread is almost as derailing as you asking for people to be banned constantly...@mods ban this wum. Continually derailing the thread
that still annoys me - even more than this later attempt at legal piracyAccept that.
But we must remember that the club is owned by Manchester United plc which is in turn owned by the Glazier family. But as a plc, it is listed on the NY stock exchange with its shares being traded.
And as all United fans know, they used the value of the football club to leverage debt in order to buy the club.
All right, I guess I'll just join the rest of you in the notion that football is now dead.
Elvis doesn't talk to me, I'd do a show with Olly or Mr Pidge or Oates. To be fair Chiringuito is what happens if you give @esmufc07 and @horsechoker a Talk show.
Will destroy the quality of the premier league. Plus how would it even work lets say the top 3 in the EPL will be some of the Superleague clubs, who gets the champions league places? That's true.
I'm just over the outrage. It looks like it's happening so I'd like to discuss how its going to happen and what it's going to look like but it doesn't seem like we're ready for that yet so we can have this discussion at a later date when everyone has calmed down I guessSeriously though. Everyone is in uproar about this and you're trying to discuss whether we should only register Fred for the SL games as he typically plays better in the CL. You're massively out of touch.
No one is really saying it's dead but it will feel like it to me if United were thrown out of the PLAll right, I guess I'll just join the rest of you in the notion that football is now dead.
Money was the driving force behind the PL forming in 92, that was a literal break away league but now we want to replace the CL with a different European competition it's a problem? Sky talk about football like it didn't exist before 92. Leeds won the league in 91, no one gives a shit. Clubs that generate big money will always follow it, regardless of what we think.
yeh it won't be easy beating Barca if we only start playing in the second halfThe worst thing about this is that we will just lose every week to new opposition
plus we play a weakened team in the EPL to benefit us in a crunch came in the superleague, then what does that mean for clubs still in the EPL who are going for champions league places? Is it fair, is it ethical? From a sporting sense is it awfulThat's true.
I reckon Amazon. They'll have the data from their trial of prem games.I wonder which TV networks are in on this? There must have been negotiations going on already. Have Sky been left out in the cold?
