ETH Out Thread

He can have no complaints if he gets the boot after this weekend ( I can't see us doing it tomorrow). He's shown he's not learned a bloody thing and there's no prospect of him doing so. In fact, I'm at the point he should be sacked regardless of what happens at Villa.

I’m quite in awe of how you can spend £200 million this summer and end up with this. I assumed that with a fit squad we would see improvements this season but clearly very very wrong.

What are the chances he goes to another club and looks like a top manager again, like how everyone was saying McKenna was pointless coach and he turns out to be a top tactical manager.

Has to go. It can’t carry on surely.

So obvious we just need to be tighter at the back, just to build confidence in the team again and stop conceding. He’s so stubborn that he simply won’t do it for a few games. Think that’s the sign of a really poor tactician if you don’t adjust to poor results. I know Pep doesn’t change his tactics but he doesn’t go on long runs of losses.

I don't think I've ever seen a manager spend this much and somehow amazingly make the team and playstyle even worse.

Very low. Considering literally no manager who's been sacked by United over the past 11 years hasn done so.

No one here knew anything about McKenna but we performed consistently like a top 4 side when he was here.

He has to go. Surely there is absolutely no one watching here thinks he’s going to turn this around now.

He might do well in a 1 team league like at Ajax where his resources are far better than the competition. But in a competitive league, nah, he's not going to do much at a big club

Wasting your subs to change both your centre backs when you're chasing a game should be enough to sack him.

Hasn’t looked that way for Ajax since he left.

Its over. He'll be gone after villa
Why? Why did we just gift 3 points to Porto today and why are we gifting 3 points to Villa again. He needed to go after the Final but yet here we are just gifting teams 3 points before the game starts by keeping him on.

Because we're a very silly club

Because it's normal to do it when you have time to do it, not when you have to travel the next day and play the next day and it's back to back.

The new manager, even if interim, needs to at least have a couple of training sessions in there to give him a chance to give some instructions. Porto away and Villa away were always unlikely. Leave all the bad vibes for your dead manager, and save the easy run for the new manager combined with a new manager bounce to lift the spirits.

I don’t know how EtH came out of the review with any positives against his name. Top of my head, I can highlight all of the below as weaknesses:
1) Poor judge of a player as shown in the transfer market
2) Can’t coach a defence
3) Can’t coach the attack - this is especially galling after seeing years of United teams expertly probing defences under Fergie to now playing low percentage high risk passes all the time
4) Can’t coach the team to keep the ball
5) Can’t manage the squad effectively and establish meritocracy as the basis of team selection
6) Weak media presence
… and so on. Should be sacked immediately after this match.

Bro, giving the team time to train with Ten Hag is hurting us more than the team not training at all.

One thing I've noticed for a long time is that ETH never ever looks happy, we just equalized in the 91st minute and he is still not looking happy?

Better to accept the defeat in tough games and give the new guy a good chance to get confidence going in easier games. Unlikely to beat Villa regardless of who is on charge on such short notice, so let the new guy be untouched by this shit show

The problem with being two games away from getting sacked is that it's just not sustainable. What happens if we beat Villa on Sunday but then lose the next two? Is he two games away again?
