Its was obvious from the beginning that Team Haaland had his eyes on Bundesliga as a better choice in this stage of his career. Probably a sensible decision and if the reports are to believed then Alfie made a really good profit as his sons agent, Erling get very well paid and Mino Raiola as usual made a fortune out of almost nothing as a consulting agent. Crazy money but anyway.
It’s a little bit concerning that United send their top brass in a private jet to Salzburg without success. If we can’t attract one of Norways biggest talent with Ole as a manager then serious questions has to be asked. I also don’t like the briefings we do in situation like this to the the British newspapers. It make us look amateurish and bitter. Stop this shit.

It’s easy to suspect that United and Ole wasn’t even an alternative, they only used us to get a better deal from Dortmund. Forget about Raiola’s involvement. Haaland and his father has the last word in any deal so blaming others that the deal is dodgy or expensive is a sign of loser mentality.
Woodward needs to do a statement of intention in January to show he is willing to back Ole to the hilt. At least one addition if we’re serious to challenge for top four. Solskjaer also needs to ask himself why his project isn’t attractive enough to top talents. And the fact that his dad has been so vocal and involved in his career, you just knew it'd be another circus. Imagine if we hit a patch of poor form and he isn't scoring, his dad will push for a move right quick.
I mean you can't compare any of his previous clubs with Dortmund. They were basically midtable clubs with or worse with a lot of mediocre players he turned into overachievers often with counter attacking football. At Dortmund he's expected to dominate games and finish top two or even win the title if Bayern are having a bad year.
Hanke is listed as 1.85m, I think that qualifies at tall and Haaland is no donkey either. I could see the Hanke + Reus partnership as a bit of a blue print (one half of it is already at the club after all

Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams all having breakout seasons. Ours isn't exactly a lot worse than Dortmunds.
We needed him, we didn't get him. I think it's as simple and as sad as that, but the life goes on, we're not in the best position to attract players so I guess we'll need to be more patient in getting good players in.

If that really is true then it is madness. He might score goals, but their defence is not great.

I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Alcacer as well but it won't be easy to drop him either. 26 goals in 47 appearances isn't too shoddy. I'm not saying Haaland is the answer but we do need competition for CF not just backup.
We'll find someone who doesn't see the club as a stepping stone hopefully.

People think Greenwood is ready for the number 9 spot which he isn't. Rashford is gash there too so yeah we need another striker and it seems Ole agrees.
