Erik ten Hag | Currently unemployed

Berghuis is obviously playing double agent today, so it's not entirely Ten Hag's fault. Also, we wil probably still feck this up. I refuse to believe we will get point(s) in Amsterdam.

You hear me football gods? I'm not jinxing it.

Who's the guy who headed in the second goal? He looks a skillful player

They're lucky it's not 1-3 to Fyenoord
Yes. I saw that. Dessers, I believe, couldn't see his partner completely free with an open goal.

I am thinking of the overall picture lately. It seems they've now conceded 2 goals in each of their last 4 games. Prior to that, they'd only let in 5 goals in 23 games.

The first you mean? Luis Sinisterra, Colombian dude. By far our best player this season. Think he might be our new record outgoing transfer if he keeps playing like this.

@KirkDuyt

Do you rate Ten Hag as a follower of one of their opposition?

Do you think he is different to something ajax have had before?

You're right. He looks brilliant. I know the setting in his game is different considering the tactics, occasion and the venue but Im going to check out some of Fyenoords highlights this season later.

Maybe the opposition is just learning how to ruffle their feathers at the back. Ajax's backline doesn't look very strong particularly when pressured. I'm surprised it's taken this long

He plays nice, if slightly naive football. You cant deny the 2019s CL runs excellence, but since then he was elminated by average opposition (Getafe, Roma, Benfica) 3 years in a row. In the Dutch league not winning it with Ajax is a bigger achievement than winning it with the abundance of quality and money they have.

If United give him time and funds though, he will have you playing great football though.

I do have to stress that he is a monumental numpty in front of a camera and makes Forrest Gump sounds like Obama.

Anyone know the reason for the sudden collapse of Ajax? They seemed to have steamrolled everyone in the first half of the season, hammering everyone in the Champions League and only conceding something ridiculous like 3 goals in the Eredivisie.

Now they lost to one of the "easier" sides in the Champions League, and are struggling to keep clean sheets in the League.

As a United fan, I'm hoping it's the same effect as what happened to City and Pellegrini when Pep was basically announced half way through the season - maybe the Ajax players have been told EtH is off?

Getting linked to us does that for ya.

There was also the Overmars issue and they had a goalkeeper injury as well.

Is it just coincidence that they’ve hit a slump since Overmars departure? I feel like I’ve read tweets saying that he is/was a big help for Ten Hag. What exactly was his role?

Think it's more about hitting a slump since it became generally accepted that Ten Hag is off.

Showing pics of his willy.

The players must have loved it

How is Ten Hag regarded in Holland? Is he seen as the next great one, etc, or is the hype around him more external?

It's been a brilliant game to watch. Very high tempo.

Erik ten Hag's style is when heavy metal football meets Cruyyfian principles. His team play at a very high tempo with a heavy emphasis on verticality compared to someone like Guardiola.
