Ok, subs were bad and shit. On the other hand we played nice football in first half. Big question is; what is happening at half time every match? We always look worse in 2nd half. Especially in first 10 minutes.

Not the first time this season he's made some extremely questionable subs, I don't get what he believes WW does as it handicaps us instantly.

Malacia isn't even close to being what we need there.

From the Cup win I can count at least 4 games that have gone south since the subs and all of them have included WW coming on.

Serious investment needed in the summer or he won't last until Christmas.

Less concerned about his subs, moreso about the team sleepwalking out for the 2nd half again. That's on him to fix.

I have no idea how Wan-Bissaka survived 70 minutes or why he thought Weghorst would help salvage the situation when Sabitzer was available to call on. The players were shite but it was poor game management from the manager too.

Just feels like he doesn't understand the PL and what it takes to win these kind of games. He's so a bit too one-dimensional as a coach, changes players but the system and formation always stays the same. That's before going into his weird obsession with certain players.

Gut feeling says he's a good manager, just not good enough to ultimately win the top prizes. Just seems to lack the attention to detail Pep has or that drive Klopp has.

We can't keep blaming the players. His naive setup has teams creating chances against us and opening us up for fun.

Newcastle could have score six, last week Brighton were opening us up for fun and this second half was just embarrassing.

The positions our fullbacks take are insane and leaves us incredibly open in transition. What has been more maddening is Rashford pretty much never tracks back so we are constantly open and stretched.

It's not a coincidence at all that we have such a terrible record away from home against the top half teams. We will continue to be on the end of hammerings if he sticks with this style of play especially with a team as unathletic as ours.

His substitutions weren't wrong, but his subs have let him down this time.

His subs are really predictable and don't seem to change anything or take into account how players are doing on the pitch.

Would/Should we sack him if he chokes top 4 and then gets thrashed in the FA Cup final (4+ goal defeat)?
Of course, we should. Of course, we won't.

But I hope we don't have to experience that. Spurs are shit, and we are 7 points ahead with one fewer game than Liverpool. It should be manageable getting top 4 despite being fecking shit.

Getting out-witted by Mason is worrying, if Lampard is able to out coach him then we really need to panic.

The way he sets us up for away games is criminal. We’re far too open and tonight could’ve been another 7-0 thrashing. It’s unacceptable and the fact he’s not tweaking his approach is worrying.

Our home form is title winning but away from home we are mid table fodder.

Are you backward? We should’ve been 4-0 up by half time.

This is it for me, too. The mentality that we showed from the first minute of the second half was appalling. Like, actually disgusting.

It was a polite way of saying your opinion is shit.

Thus me asking you not to be weird. It’s OK, we don’t all need to be ultra defensive when it comes to the manager. Please proceed.

back on topic - guy will need to improve his in game management considerably.

I feel for him. Subs were fine on paper, but all of them failed. You’re supposed to be able to rely on your squad, it’s not on Ten Hag that Martial and Fred stunk up the place.

Those subs came on stinking of the attitude in our match day thread, thinking the game was done. You need the right spirit and attitude for 90min plus. Not 30 or 45.

The subs were poor but to be fair to him he’s not looking past De Bruyne when he brings Fred on. We need another decent summer to shift some of the squad players on and find solid replacements.
the football he plays when Eriksen + Bruno have energy compared to when they don’t is like night and day.

Im willing to forgive the subs for most part because we truly have no damn depth at this point. Martial and fred are subs that make sense, on the players for sucking ass. AWB was just all over the place defensively so that made sense to readjust the fullbacks. Wout is the one i still hate so much

I mean Fred came on at the same time at the weekend and changed the game. He did the same tonight but in the wrong way. That's Fred for you but it isn't the manager's fault

Adrenaline running out, Fatigue, lack of hunger or care from certain players?

Could be any of these, we have played an absurd amount of games and every 4 days at that, we just don't have the squad for this amount of games.

We were bound to run out of steam eventually.

Wout is not fine for anything on paper.

I'm not sure different subs would have made that much of a difference. The players dropped the ball when we could have finished off Spurs in the first half.

We lost control before the subs tbf.

Bizarre collapse in the second half. How can we make so many unnecessary mistakes? Invited Spurs back into the game for no reason. Worrying.

Eriksen’s leg would have to have fallen off to justify subbing him off today

Also his signings overall have been crap. He should have no input into transfers going forward, if we keep going like he won't be here this time next year. It will be a much tougher league

No United manager who has been at the club the entire season has survived not getting CL. Why should this be any different?

I think he made two mistakes, the first is not moving Shaw to the left and bringing Maguire on and the second is putting Weghorst on the pitch.

If a manager has no impact when the going gets tough then what's his role. It's never just on the players just like it's not just on him.
Wout as a 10, kinell :wenger: this is kinda dumbass move makes me doubt him at times when it comes to the future

Away record is wretched and a serious concern under him. But I have no idea where we go from here, its all just so disheartening
