Worth noting PSV are away to Feyenoord after this, wont be an easy game for them by any stretch.
Yeah “struggling with Ajax” is a hot take, for sure.Yeah, really struggled at Ajax the past 4 years.
Your attention-seeking doomsday posts have been a stain on the forum for a few weeks now.
No idea why I put up with it. Ignored.
Yeah 3 mins normal time left. All square?

He can’t be the Dutch Poch, Ten Hag’s actually won trophies!
At worst, he's the dutch poch if he bottles it in the end.
I agree that his first job as you stated is to "fashion" a team together, so we look like a well functioning unit. I believe he came in at the right time, as he will have a whole summer to do this and properly assess the team he has. Some managers don't have that luxury and are thrown in right in the midst of a busy and competitive season.Let’s be realistic instead of setting him up to fail with unrealistic experience expectations.
his first job is get rid of a lot of players and somehow fashion a “team” together to follow instructions and the systems coached. Our first expectation should be to see proper progress, not just in terms of results but in terms of what we see on the pitch, effort, working for the collective purpose.
THEN if we’re seeing that we can turn our hopes to progress in competitions. I’m certainly not going to deem him a failure or expect too much from first season which is ground zero for me. There’s nothing left of the club fergie built. It’s a huge job
Hopefully things start to change in the future… they need to give the manager the freedom to get rid of whoever he wants and bring in whoever he wants. Hopefully ralf will have a massive say aswell as he knows how bad the current team are and what a joke they are. Can’t see us bringing in more then 3 players though to be honest. Think we’ll have 3 new signings and a few youth players coming up.I think that’s what we’re all hoping for mate. We need someone to be ruthless and clear out these absolute jokers. My only reservation is that previous managers have tried to do the same and been fired after boardroom decisions were made to keep certain players like Martial over the manager.
I really hope things improve but the proof will be in the pudding around January I reckon. It’s all dependant on how many bodies we clear this summer and how many we bring in.
Wednesday is potentially where Ten Hag can officially win the league if they'll win the game against Heerenveen .
Yes, you are, did you bother to read the article beyond the headline? Alright seeing as how you obviously haven’t bothered and, as we established before, you just want to make stuff up i’ll quote a little of it for you.Yeah, I’m definitely making shit up. Took over a team that finished 3rd, ripped everything up and got out of there as fast as he could.

It can change quickly though. Good start, good vibes coming and suddenly we fly. Im positiverangnick has done him no favors by absolutely demolishing whats left of the confidence of some of our players.
Ten Hag has a massive rebuild on hand. Probably the biggest one since moyes left.
Not just bringing players in, but actually trying to repair the damage done to our current players.

Analysis of ETH Ajax 18/19 side, the use of his number 10 as an additional center forward to occupy center halfs, the narrow front four, fullbacks switching between inverted roles or playing outside, the build up phase, utilizing ball playing center halfs, the press.
Tbh, reading it makes me think it has a lot of similarities to how Ole’s team plays from the back except DDG stays in goal more often. Our opponents normally commit more players to press high when we build up from back. Not having a go at you directly, but I've seen a few articles about his system and they leave me with questions that I would like someone with more insight to address.
- What makes this style so good? If the average internet analyst can understand it, why can't any professional coach implement it?
- How will it fare against bigger teams?
- Or against lower down teams? The counter attack of even the worst team in the PL is deadly, so how does this system prevent that?
Let's not flatter ourselves. We only have to describe the end product, that's easy. The implementation has a lot of nuance average joes like us can't even begin to teach. The article is good and mostly describes their shape, which is one layer of implementation. Not having a go at you directly, but I've seen a few articles about his system and they leave me with questions that I would like someone with more insight to address.

A good teacher isn't just one who is knowledgeable but one who is skilled at passing his knowledge to his students, so anyone can analyze Ten Hag system, or Pep's or Klopp's but that doesn't mean they can implement it to a high degree in reality. Not having a go at you directly, but I've seen a few articles about his system and they leave me with questions that I would like someone with more insight to address.

But its actually more similar to city build up, one quality about Ole team first phase of attack was the manner in which the midfielders vacated midfield, one drop to defense, the number ten joined the front three leaving only one player in the center of the pitch, this is more similar to city set up where you have more bodies the middle looking and wide open constantly moving to receive passes, they play at a higher tempo and with shorter passes. Its far more sophisticated than what we saw under Ole, the main worry about Ten Hag isn't his brand of football at all but if he'll get the right tools to implement it.Tbh, reading it makes me think it has a lot of similarities to how Ole’s team plays from the back except DDG stays in goal more often. He will most likely have a well deserved break, before then evaluating the squad himself. He seemingly hasn't even been put up to speed by Rangnick yet either. So by tomorrow evening Ajax will hopefully be champions and he can start getting involved in our potential signings…which he might already be doing in a non official capacity. Surely after the 15th Ajax won’t stand in his way if he wants to join us immediately?

Hes not just coming immediately In fact I am sure there will be celebratory parades he will be a part of too. Theres still some weeks yet.

I don't think he'll make his transfer opinions without actually evaluating thr squad. That's not something for the phone.Yeah he will definitely need a nice well deserved break but I also hope he at least via phone etc can give his say on potential transfers. He must have an idea who he wants already despite possibly needing to evaluate the squad. I don’t want it to take a long time and we end up leaving everything late and rushed like we have in the past…and to be honest you don’t have to spend any time with half of our squad to know they are simply not good enough!
The way Ralf is now speaking I’m sure the conversation he has with ETH will pull no punches. I just pray this is not a long winded summer saga and end up starting the season with the team that finishes it.
Which reports?Lots of reports mentioned that he'll join straight away then go on a break before returning before pre season training. Mostly for getting the signings on the way i suppose
Well, we're fecked then.Tbh, reading it makes me think it has a lot of similarities to how Ole’s team plays from the back except DDG stays in goal more often. Our opponents normally commit more players to press high when we build up from back.
