I grin to myself every time I remember he is taking over, in the next three years I think we might actually see a style of play being implemented, with sensible signings and some discipline. Even without a trophy that would be fecking great.

When does he officially start?
I think I read somewhere yesterday that after his last Ajax game he will come here and start straight away, then go on holiday and then come back for the pre season. Best way I think get into it with the players and club have a rest and then on with pre season hope he doesn't get bunt out.

Read somewhere that he would join immediately after the current campaign ends and then would go on a holiday before coming back just before pre season games. I presume he wants to join immediately to get transfers underway.

Seems the club might finally be learning… only took them the best part of 10 years. Better late than never though.

Yeah and losing out on the likes of Kroos, Thiago, Klopp & Fabinho to make them realise a restructure was needed

Can add Guardiola to that too. I think it's fair to say Woodward was fecking useless. I thank God every day for the Super League debacle.

I reckon Ten Hag will head to Manchester and work his arse off for the summer with minimal holiday time.

Not saying he should do that or anything, I just think it's what he'll do.

Particularly when he can have a proper holiday during the WC. It wouldn't be a bad idea for him to completely delay his holidays.

I remember reading ‘officially’ July 1st - but from what it sounds like he is football obsessed so he will probably start the second Ajax play their final game.

I am hearing that he doesn't want to come to United because Jesse Lingard is refusing to speak with him.

Personally, if I were taking over a failing institution and I could be sacked in 6 months I'd take a week or two max and even then I'd be on the phone daily. You'd want to make the best start possible and not leave anything to chance or trust the people in charge who have fired multiple managers at this point and recruited shit players on big contracts.

I think so too, he’ll want to get of to the best possible start he can and he’ll want to show that he’s determined to succeed. Apparently he puts a lot of hours in on the training ground to make sure everything is perfect. He’ll also get a rest during the WC. Excited for next season with this guy in charge, he’ll already have inside info aswell from rangnick so he’ll know straight away who needs replacing.

Based on the stories of him preparing for following games on the journey home from big away wins in Europe, I wouldn’t be surprised either.

I found it interesting how Stam randomly appeared at the Brentford game this past week. Is this some kind of sign that he’s joining the ETH coaching setup? Or is it pure coincidence and he was just a guest of honour for that game or something?

He's involved in the legends match against the scouse cnuts isn't he?

He'll be slaughtered by club's faulty mechanics on every level, probably in first 4 months.

He'll need to exercise the nuclear option from the get go and gut this team asap, he has his work cut out for him

I just feel bad for him. The club is in such a poor state.

It's never as bad as it seems, the players just need some proper coaching.

We'll look like a completely different team from the first pre-season game.

No matter what happens next season, he gets a free pass for me. Willing to push it up to 2 seasons.

The board needs to have his back for him to succeed

Provided he culls this current squad I agree.
