He's got a hell of a job on his hands. I just hope our entitled fan base don't start calling for him to be sacked after a defeat.
This is on the board.Provided he culls this current squad I agree.
He's in big trouble if we don't buy a lot of new players this summer.
What is this about? The very fact we’ve hired him makes me concerned about his actual ability. Hopefully the decision makers actually picked Pochetino but there was some miscommunication and we’ve just decided to go with it.
They will, and it won't take long. He's got a hell of a job on his hands. I just hope our entitled fan base don't start calling for him to be sacked after a defeat.
He needs a mass clear out and at least 5 signings in his first summer or things could get difficult pretty quickly.
What’s what about? I’m saying we repeatedly hire managers who turn out to be shite. What is this about?
I don’t see it happening after this seasonThey will, and it won't take long.

It's never as bad as it seems, the players just need some proper coaching.
We'll look like a completely different team from the first pre-season game.
We hear the clear out talk every year, but this summer is an absolute guarantee.
Mata, Matic, Lingard, Pogba, Cavani all certain to go.
Factor in Greenwood as a 6th if they ever get his case done!
That's a huge set of first teamers to go in a batch.

I don't get where this sentiment comes from. Moyes and Ole were both applauded by the vast majority of Old Trafford long after proving they weren't up to the job - even after being twatted 4-0 by the likes of Liverpool, City, and Watford. They will, and it won't take long.
Jones, Bailly are also certain and Martial will probably leave as well. There’s no way we’ll replace even 3/4 of those with new signings, we’ll do well even to finish top half next season. Patience is needed.
I see a lot of cultists behavior already, saying that no matter what happens he will get a free pass next season or he doesn't have to win anything or get top four.
If ETH failed to meet the basic objectives, he will not last long, especially if he is backed a lot in the summer. ETH has it easy as the standards is so low that it can't get any worse. Moreover, since he has control of players he wants he can implement his philosophy as quick as possible unlike most other big club who doesn't guarantee that to new managers.
ETH needs to take advantage of this great opportunity as he has a lot of positive going into next season.
And most fans on here will blame him for it, whilst failing to blame the players, board etc. He'll be slaughtered by club's faulty mechanics on every level, probably in first 4 months.
We've just appointed a systemic manager on a 6 month interim contract, with a group of players who cannot play together in one system the manager wants to play. On top of that we lost 4 coaches when Ole left and had to bring in 2 MLS coaches so someone could take training. The current group of players either couldn't do or couldn't understand the system Ralf wanted to play and unless we have a massive overhaul of the playing squad, what you're seeing right now is what we'll get for the first 6 months of next season. By which point Ten Hag will be a fraud by a section of people on here.I don't get where this sentiment comes from. Let see what we do in the summer before saying some things aren't possible. If ETH gets Ole/mourinho level of support then he should 100% get at least top four. That is the basic objective. Since there might be a lot of outgoing, that should be put into consideration into getting the right cohesion with his team. As such, no one should expect him to win the top trophies. However, if we are in the conference league or europa league, our team will be significantly better than the rest of our competition. So the basic expectation for that competition is at least reaching the finals or semi finals. ETH isn't coming to a mid table club. He is coming to one of the biggest club in football. Just because of how much Ole has set us back, our standards is low. But definitely if he meets those basic objectives then next season, he should be challenging for the title.Anybody who expects us to compete for trophies next season is living in cloud cuckoo land. Completely unrealistic. Top 4 is even very unlikely considering the level of the competition in the EPL.
As you say best is to expect is an injection of positivity, sprankel of hope. Ten Hag’s short term objectives has to be getting us playing football & install some resistance in the side. I can’t see us going down the Gelatico route ever again and I suspect we’ll see more younger, unproven and above all closer knit squad next season.
Assuming he still wants to come here, has anybody considered that he might be a nutter?

That goes without saying. Its like predicting the sun will come up tomorrow again. And most fans on here will blame him for it, whilst failing to blame the players, board etc.
It will take time but we still need more than just some given we will lose many and some are as good as lost (Greenwood Martial etc). I don't think we should expect too many promotions. It's a huge step up to the first team and ETH will be expected to deliver CL footy as well.buying a lot of players will only make it worse.
Get rid of some, buy some, work with the ones left to up their game and promote from the academy. It has to be a rebuild (we all hate this word by now, but it has to be). It will take time……
