A good tweet? Its daft and it's been explained as to why. Others also shat on it

I'm not rattled, just chuckling since the "football IQ", as you put it has been on top form. In the past couple of days, you've pasted sentiment from articles without actually reading them, shared talkshite and thought you're in a place to mug off Goldbridge while doing so.

Goldbridge is a complete tit, many agree with him too.

But as @Berbaclass would agree, "il do what I want", right?
No, no and no you're just making stuff up as usual. You've been shown up so many times in this thread.

Yes I will post what I want. I don't need you and Berbaclown's permission.

If they have no proper replacement getting rid isn't such a good option though is it. Give him until winter to show he deserves to stay. Otherwise let him leave on a free and then we will have enough time to get a proper replacement in.

You're almost guaranteeing failure though. And showing that the new owners have conducted a review and still don't really know what to do. The optics are awful.

You claimed tuchel rejected us. I asked if you read the article. You said yes and posted an article that didn't insinuate this. The article then had to spelt out to you and you said "OK".

You're an embarrassment.

There are some fans that want United to behave like the team with most titles in the land and some fans who are like this post….

Please explain what it means by its Villa... let it sink in. Clearly you cant explain, instead would rather have the approach// "We are Manutd..." Without any substance.

Clearly cant discuss rather would prefer to have a go at people.

Why. Any manager is under pressure of performance. Rewarding a horrific season like ours with a new contract on the back of an FA cup win would be the wrong signal in my opinion. And if the players really back him as many suggest they'll surely play their heart out to make sure he stays?

If Ineos have any faith in him they can't send him into the season as a dead man walking.
In which case reckon the only way they would extend his contract would be with some kind of ‘get out clause’ which would allow the club to sack him without a hefty financial penalty.

Yeah you were wrong. I said "OK" because you bore me with your nonsense.

Now resorting to quoting yourself and saying that I said it . Keep digging.

He was already contributing more than the other options before the Liverpool game. You can like ETH and want to keep him on but trying to say he's responsible for Amad's development is pure fantasy.
Point me to a game where he contributed before the 4-3 Pool game? Amad was pushed relentlessly by some youtubers, but didn’t show anything in his cameos until Pool game.

Well this is just another thing we disagree on so.

Absolutely delighted that UTD have finally confirmed ETH is staying. Long time in coming, but at least they came to the correct decision at the end, in my opinion.

Sure, the league was terrible this season, and it you focus on the 8th position, then it is easy to simply say ETH lead Utd to their worst league position in PL. But, stats can often be used to fit one agenda or another. League position is also heavily dependent on the performance of other clubs. With no real improvement in performances, Utd could have potentially been challenging Spurs for 5th, especially had it not been for the car crash against Chelsea in the final moments. Utd also finished with more points than they did the season before ETH took over. Despite having more injuries this year than I can ever remember in the PL.

The question I ask is: Have Man Utd progressed since ETH took charge. In my opinion, they have. Massively. Look at the players who have left the club since ETH took charge. Pogba, Lingard, Matic, Mata, Cavani, Phil Jones. Martial about to follow. Look at players that have come in. Some of the players that have come in have shown real promise, like Martinez and Hojlund. Casemiro was great last season, sure, disappointing in his injury plagued season this year. I like Onana, despite some shockers, but I think he will come good when his defence is settled, and he looks to have really good character. We'll see with Mount, but injury free he was a very solid player, so hopefully he can shake of his issues. The biggest issue was the arrival of Antony, and the fee was ridiculous. Yet, had he come for a low fee, I'd actually be fairly comfortable we'd have a good squad player, a player who could potentially grow with less limelight around him, and is capable of moments of magic. Yes, he isn't a player who has shown he can be pivotal to Man Utd, but I much prefer him to someone like Dan James, who pretty much avoided any scrutiny from the press when he was at the club. But then, we bought him for less than £20 million, in a season we also bought Maguire for £80 million.

When ETH took over, I wasn't demanding instant success. I was very prepared to take some low times, recognizing there could be ups and downs along the road, and realising this journey could take quite a few years. As long as I felt United and ETH were showing signs of building something. I think most Man Utd fans are more encouraged with the team we have now, than the team we had 2 years ago? There are signs a foundation is being built, with several really promising players. It is even clearer what positions need to be strengthened, and with a more stable ownership, you'd hope they'll be better at addressing these areas with a strategy, not adhoc signings hoping to magically solve all the problems. ETH has had 2 years at the club, knows it extremely well now, inside and out. His experience will be vital in working with the new ownership and sharing his views on where things are still weak, and the new ownership will be vital to him in identifying suitable players, with good personalities and getting them for well negotiated fees.

At least another season for ETH was critical for me. This time next year, hopefully INEOS are more settled. Hopefully ETH has a season with much fewer injuries. And, if Utd are still poor, then INEOS can review the manager situation quietly behind the scenes back end of season, and then make a change if they think there is a good replacement out there. However, as I think ETH is a very good manager, I hope that next season is much better, and Utd fans can continue to support their club, be proud of the progress they are making and be proud that the Club supported the manager after the tougher period, when all media seemed to demand he got sacked.

Time to relax, enjoy the Euros, and look forward to next season

You're almost guaranteeing failure though. And showing that the new owners have conducted a review and still don't really know what to do. The optics are awful.

But they clearly don’t. The manager has just endured an awful season where he personally wouldn’t deserve more than a 2/10 rating. We rightly should have little faith in him and giving him a new contract sets completely the wrong example, both to the staff and the players.

If he has a good first half of the season that’s then the time to consider a new contract.

It shouldnt need an explanation. There is no metric that we can use to compare us to Aston Vila. We should be doing better than them not 8 points behind them.

Sacking him midway through next season for having a similar sort of season as 23-24, when we've just assessed that his previous season was good enough to keep him and reward him with a new contract, would just show that INEOS have no idea what they are doing. We have to persist with him and give him time to fix things.

That's not the assessment that we have come out with from the review just done, as evidence by contract talks.

I dont get it, why Aston VIlla?

So we should all pack our bags then because Man City, who are a smaller club than Villa are winning the league.

So why is the narrative different for City compared to Villa?

Except they are doing the opposite of what you are suggesting. Maybe they went through the review and decided he is the best for the project

Yes, even if so but you don't invest billions into Manchester United and admit you don't know what you should do.

You act, back him, and sack him if he doesn't repay your faith. You don't just flounder publicly.

I think Ineos have got the 1st big decision right.

Not saying he’s done the best job. But no need to change manager if the right guy isnt available. Tuchel / Poch / Soutgate etc are not the right people to lead us.

Also I hope this sends a message to the players. Can’t keep underperforming thinking you can coast till a new manager comes in and then Reboot.

Hope we have a great summer. Interesting to see what we can achieve next year with hopefully lesser injuries and some fresh faces.

How do we think this will go then?

1. Masterstroke. ETH recaptures his mid-first season form and we end up with as good if not better points tally in the League and real feeling of optimism for the 25/26 season. Turns out 14 months of consistently poor form really was the injuries after all

2. Meh. We end scrapping for 4th with a 0 goal difference and not much hope for the next season. A feeling of crushing depression spreads through half the fan base as Ten Hag is still allowed to continue due to lack of options, with constant reminders of how we backed SAF

3. Disastrous. Form is worse than ever straight from the off next season. Ten Hag is sacked in October while we hire a make-do/give it McClaren til end of season as we write off yet another year. 49% of the caf roasts the other 51% and Ineos for ignoring what was in their faces the whole time

4. Injuries. The season is hampered by long term injuries to 2 first team players. Ten Hag has learnt nothing and once again cannot work his way around it. No matter, absolutely everything is excused and he is allowed to continue on indefinitely until he eventually has an injury-free season in which we can, finally, judge his managerial prowess. This could be anywhere from 1-5 years

I’m going for 2.

I was wrong? The article literally didn't insinuate Tuchel rejected us. You got caught out from not reading articles. Atrocious poster, Talksport is your level.

Can someone tell me why this is necessary? Surely it should be earned through his efforts next season. What are we rewarding him for?
When EtH came to United he demanded a lot of control, according to all public statements more than INEOS want to give a manager/head coach in their future structure. It might be necessary to renegotiate his deal to take that control away from him and be able to give it to other positions (like Ashworth). His contract could well be an obstacle to INEOS vision. And if you take something away from someone you usually have to pay for that, so it might not be a reward but it might be a necessary move to implement the intented structure.

Always wrong. Like when you were adamant we'd get 20+ points from the last 10 games

FA cup win aside, it’s a reasonable decision because the structure is still being put in place. Ashworth hasn’t even come in yet. And to me, the other potential candidates were just as underwhelming as ETH staying.

For his performance in the last two seasons, which included two cups and have clearly been assessed positively following our reviews. It's also to give him assurances for future and not have him go into the season concerned for his position. It's the right thing to do if you have opted to go with him.

Can't believe I'm actually turning into his defender now. @VP89 @BenitoSTARR can I still join your club? Promise I'll be good.

Cue Shaw and Martinez to come back injured after the international tournaments

Giving Ole the permanent job all over again.
You can’t have a manger be in place with an expiring contract. It puts him, his staff and the players in limbo as they quite literally are at the end of their contract with no security in place at all. It’s not really changing much. His termination clause likely won’t be raised. And yes you could let him go for free at the end of the season, but if he was in a position where we would be happy to part ways for free then likely he should be sacked anyway before the end for the season.

But they clearly don’t. The manager has just endured an awful season where he personally wouldn’t deserve more than a 2/10 rating.
You have to understand how ridiculous this is, right? We beat City in the FA cup final.

For me, it depends on our transfer window. If, under our new structure, we start to identify press resistant players and bring even one in this summer, I'd say in between 1 and 2. Not the masterstroke as 1 puts it, but better than the meh of 2. A 1.5 where it's good because, if we get said players in, I think we could play good stuff this season, and that's the priority for me.

If we repeat our disastrous transfer windows of the past decade, then probably 3. That's how important our summer is, in my opinion.
