Imagine being ETH he’s got 12 months on his contract, the club are speaking to multiple replacements regarding his job and it was widely reported that he was to be sacked weeks ago. Disgrace how we’ve handled all this regardless if he stays or goes.

£10m more pissed away in ETH's account, and then we'll go and drop an even bigger elite tier manager contract for this habitual loser (Southgate)

Come back make-believe Jassim all is forgiven.

What a shambles we are.
It won't surprise me how we cried for football people to take over the club, we finally get it and they end up being the worst kind

it'd be united, and it'd be a curse, clearly.

Romano just said Tuchel is being discussed by United this week. Nothing definitive yet on Ten Hag.
'Discussed internally' and then told Romano about it but he's got nothing on the Ten Hag discussions.

Do people really fall for this stuff?

Brailsford and Ashworths prefers Southgate on him .

I'm sorry Ed and Murtough, come back and save us.

Its perfectly plausible Tuchel is being discussed along with a couple of other options and at the same time, there's nothing new about the Ten Hag situation.

They're waiting on Gareth.

Waiting to see how the Euros go. If he wins, they hire him, if he loses they say the review concluded Ten Hag was the right man. Bulletproof plan. No one will be wiser - watch Tuchel or Poch announced next week

It is, which is just standard Romano fare. Educated guesswork which can't be proven, nothing definitive on anything that puts his neck on the line.

So Southgate managing star studded England loses in Wembley without scoring against Iceland yet Jim and co think he's good enough to manage Man United hmm

Anybody else starting to think Ineos are a bunch of corporate suits that haven't a clue? This is a mess and if it is true that the car crash in charge of England is who they have as a candidate, then im not sure why we should have any faith beyond some smooth talking

It’s obvious he’s getting sacked. Shame really.
You don’t take this long to then back the manager.

Sure, but they have hired competent people to run the place. So they might just be corporate suits who haven't a clue temporarily. The actual people who will be running the show are currently tending to their gardens.

Sacked when he gets back from vacation, I reckon.

I never really thought they had a clue.

Every sport team they've invested in has got worse, or even dropped off the face of the earth.

Why is it important to announce the sack? Everyone is on vacation now.

there isn't any substance to the Southgate rumours that I can find

Ineos aren't appointing a manager that 90%+ of the fan base don't want

The objective is always champions league at a MINIMUM, I don't understand how it's not OK to reduce standards for ETH (which I agree, he should be sacked) but now we should reduce them for LVG retrospectively? That was a big summer at the time with all these players signed, and we massively underperformed. Not just in the position but performances too.
Be ready to change managers every season from now on then.

How about we apply the standards to the people running the club? Failing at almost everything.

One of the best actually.

Not in 2014, I rate LVG's career highly but we didn't get a top manager. The same way anyone getting Mourinho in 2024 isn't getting a top manager.

Seems like we’ll be linked to every Tom, Dick and Harry until Ineos releases a statement regarding Ten Hag’s future.

I agree to the opinion that we don’t really need to replace him if there’s no clear and cohesive plan. And these Southgate links are just purely terrible.

Would rather start a “ineos sack watch” thread if that happens.

The same fans who didn't want Pouch 2 years ago are now the same fans who want Pouch now. But whats happened in the last 2 years? Pouch has failed at PSG and Chelsea. At the same time, ETH has won 2 trophies. Give ETH another season and we will get top 4 and win another trophy.
I’m sceptical about Pouch. I’m afraid he’s a pouch-surfer, a penny-pincher and a pouch-poacher. Give it Giggs till the end of his sentence.
