He doesn't sign the cheque's mate.

Demand I answer your questions and then completely ignore my counter Q... Stay classy!
Southgate and Potter are better managers, that actually know how to organise a defence. I ignored your question because it isn’t relevant to the conversation. You’ve just cherry picked two managers that you don’t like (and know little about) to make Ten Hag look better. It’s a deflection tactic that has been used on here for months but most people thankfully see through it now.

Carragher eviscerating the tactics as expected

I'd rather he was managing us next season than ETH. No joke.

Just as you have people moaning about Dalot playing lb with AWB on the right, as AWB is either way a dud and on the left you won't get the best out of Dalot who is a superior right back.

People moan either way

Dalot is usually shit either way.

Dalot can play left back.
AWB can’t. Playing him there, over and over again when it never works is fecking insanity.

Don’t agree that Dalot is shit either. He’s 10x the player AWB will ever be.

Rashford has been clowning around for years now under various managers. I would happily cash in on him for big money. He can be replaced. I mean in his last 5 PL seasons he's scored: 17, 11, 4, 17, 7. That's 60 PL goals in 159 games. That's not exactly irreplaceable. I mean he's on 350k p/w, the same as the likes of Salah. For me, he's a definite sale.
The problem is that after this season, no European football next season, recruitment just got a whole lot harder. You'd be mad to join us as an upcoming player this summer.

What about these bunch of jokers (players), surely they can’t get away with this with every manager.

I feel like this point isn't valid any more. Especially when the majority of these jokers are his players.

I really don't get the vibe that they've downed tools. They just look clueless out there because they're not getting any help or guidance from the man in charge.

Not gonna give the players a free pass but this isn't the same as we've seen before.

They are not the CEO, they are not the DoF, yet. They can converse about what they want to do and I am sure they have made plans, but it is a matter of area of competency and chain of command. They are not actually Ten Hag's bosses yet, are they? They could lobby whoever lame duck Glazer CEO is there now to sack Ten Hag, but that is not a good way to go about it when you are not actually in the job, in the office, in the building, to deal with the situation. However I think a perfomance like tonight might trigger a preponed (is that a word?) announcement..

I disagree though. Ineos are in control of the football operation, so I'm sure it has always been extremely easy for them to pull the trigger, even with verbal agreements from everyone who will eventually be officially in post here. Do you think the Glazers would disagree with him? I think if not for the sale, they'd have sacked him long ago themselves.

Guy is a complete idiot, we should be begging Bayern to take him on.

Scenes when he's winning the league over there while this pathetic bunch of players are sabotaging the next manager in 2 years time again.

Carragher “This is the most poorly coached team in the Premier League.”

The scouser gets it.

Yeah, he’s right. We’ve assembled a poor squad (which ETH should also take blame), and our manager is failing miserably in setting us up tactically - not surprisingly it leads to disaster.

Carragher eviscerating the tactics as expected

Carragher has been always spot on for United managers. I remember him destroying Moyes ten years ago.

Our Gary on the other hand has always been like the most devoted Caf cultists.

So another overhaul? 2nd in 2 years.

I'm going to say, hand on heart, I think a good number of these players can play better than they are. Not necessarily tonight, but even I think tonight could be handled better. But we do without a doubt need certain players and positions upgrading. I don't think we'll win titles with all of these players, but I think we could play football that has us all feeling optimistic.
I agree we do have some very good players, but we have some who lack talent, attitude or both. We could undoubtedly play much better, but I think the team has become dysfunctional. I didn’t mean to imply by the term ‘overhaul’ that we need to get rid of everyone. The manager has undoubtedly failed to build a team. He is too inflexible to manage this group of players.

Talk is cheap. This guy talks a lot and he's all too ready to speak at the end of games and give excuses, etc. We want to see a real change on the pitch and it's just not happening. The structure and organisation of the team today was dogshite. We were recklessness with the way we defended and how Casemiro kept diving/lunging in on everything and everyone. We created nothing. We produced nothing that would get the fans excited or would give our club even a little bit of credit. It was one of the worst performances of the season and certainly in the lifetime for many of our fans.

He's had enough opportunities to turn it around. He's had his time and I really can't wait to start again. We need to get going again. We've gone backwards for far too long.

Really putting ineos in a tricky position here

Not at all. It’s an incredibly straightforward position to be in.

It’s abundantly clear that if they don’t sack him they’ll be losing precious credit with the fans. And it’s very hard to imagine literally any interim manager setting the team up worse than Ten Hag does every week. So put in an interim to out the end of the season whilst they figure out a replacement.

I pray hard to see him sack, I can contribute $100 if United needs money to make this happen. Because of ETH, I hate to watch United games. I would curse and swear at the players. My mood is seriously affected with this fraud. Please do me a favour and sack him when he come to work tomorrow.

I think Gary is secretly pining for a board role at United. The whole Salford thing would make sense then also.

Threw the players under the bus, eh.

"Look at our backline..."

You know what, if I'm a defender or sub defender in that squad tonight I'm swinging for him after hearing that. What a twat.

Imagine being Amass sat there listening to that... "listen this back line is shit and I'm not even going to bother giving you a shot even though you are the only one who plays in a position we have no fit players in."

Why would anyone want to play for him after hearing him say that, he needs to be gone yesterday.

The worst thing about the season is as bad as the results have been, and they have truly been horrible, they have still been miles better than our performances. Currently we're 15th in the table on xPTS. 15th. It doesn't really matter how many injuries we've had, that's just insanely bad not matter what.

The problem is that after this season, no European football next season, recruitment just got a whole lot harder. You'd be mad to join us as an upcoming player this summer.

Depends how the project is sold. If we have a good background team in place, who know their football, then we can sell a project. We need to move well away from the "glamour" signings like Casemiro etc. and move onto young hungry players. There's certainly some allure to being part of potentially making the club good again under a new regime. So much depends on INEOS though, and just what their project will look like.

Yup, Gary Neville is Mr. "I'd never sack a manager (except the ones on my club's payroll, but we don't talk about them)"

Yep, can you imagine being asked to step in due to injuries then he calls you out like that to save his shit lack of system? I'd be 'injured' next week also.

I completely disagree that it isn't relevant, if you sack a manager you need to replace them. I also disagree that Southgate and Potter are better managers, but if you honestly believe that I think we are too far apart to meet in the middle.

Carragher “This is the most poorly coached team in the Premier League.”

The scouser gets it.

Carraghers probably right there, is there another manager in the league that every week with no playing style and no real game plan while refusing to change whatever tactics he does have in place while conceeding 20-30 shots in almost every game and continuing to do things the weve seen over and over again dont work like playing AWB at lect back and the stupid long balls that hardly ever go anywhere near any of our players?

Gary is a hypocrite on multiple levels. He'll sack salford managers but demand United give failures and losers more time.

It’s crazy how he keeps bringing up that we have only lost 4 games all year when we’ve barely won a game.

Yes, the reason being that you're unable to coach a team properly. Other managers avoid these constant humiliations and even have their team playing nice football once in a while. With lesser players and a significantly smaller budget. Why can't he?

because he’s a dogturd manager who had a new manager bounce that ended 14 months ago and has had 3 very generous domestic cup draws in the years he’s been here

I said something similar a while ago. Every time he talks about United it seems like he's auditioning for a role at the club.

He could well win it with Bayern the same Kovac did it. But Kovac was not a good manager and he showed that with Monaco and Wolfsburg.

Personally, I don't think the media backlash has been as bad as I expected.

Maybe it will come in the morning but I thought it would feel worse.

I disagree though. Do you think the Glazers would disagree with him? I think if not for the sale, they'd have sacked him long ago themselves.
What does that actually mean though? It means they were granted to appoint their people in the footballing executive positions, no? If those people only start to work in June or July, it is not actually easy to pull the trigger. The club leadership is in a transition, and INEOS are not sole owners. Ratcliffe can't just call in to sack a manager, can he? Or anyway he won't because that is not the way to run a football club. The way to do it is to appoint people to make the decisions. And AGAIN, these people are not in the job yet. So no, they are not yet in control.
How am I the only one pointing this out? Am I actually completely stupid somehow? But why does every reply only say "but but INEOS are in charge now" instead of adressing the fine print?
