"We wish to be the best transition team in the world"
They have an habit of chopping and changing managers though. Think Nice have had a few under them.If he is still here next season then INEOS haven't got a clue and we're even more fecked
He should go, but that doesn't mean the players aren't also the problem. Dalot was poor all game and got himself in a position where he gave away a penalty. Not a single player picked up the best player on the pitch - that is on the players. How many times this happened? One time eycuse is "great free kick", one time is unlucky goal, one time is a player's mistake, etc....
How many times he decided to defend with 10 players in penalty box? His late subs are always defenders and bloody McT.
He can bring Eriksen and play to keep the ball and/or push defence up.
It is always same pattern. We take a lead, he makes defensive subs and puts defence in Onana's lap. Every single time.
Most of the fanbase aren't even against him.Our fanbase has a responsibility to ensure this charlatan doesn't go into next season as United manager if there's even a slither of a chance the ownership have been duped into thinking this isn't his fault. We've been a disgrace this season and the only solace I can take in these disastrous performances and results is that he might not be here next season.
So in 12 months?
Nah it has to be both. No more "fresh starts".Agree with both parts there but that team has eaten through one too many managers, want to see fire sale before we sack another manager.
It's the same as throwing parts of your car out when you don't have a mechanic or someone knowledgeable about cars present.
The whole point on overhauling every department is United don't have a fecking clue since SAF retired, it's as simple as that.
Dan Ashworth will work with Omar Berrada, Wilcox to get a clear handle on the club. There'll be a clear blueprint of how to work, and every single part of the club will be scrutinized from the likes of David Brailsford looking over every part of the club.
For now (AND) from a cost perspective you do not sack a manager who will cost 20m+ to get rid of. What problem is that going to solve really? These players have had 2-3 managers now the majority of them and continue to get away with it. Its the entire culture of the club, and thats why you cant just continue to sack managers.
If the footballing side after everyone is in place, including the board decide ETH goes and he does not fit in with the style of play United want to play he will be gone.
For now until the summer when everyone is in place, he will not go anywhere. This isn't a problem that's going to be solved in 3 months, getting a new manager in place and hiring someone new is not going to fix anything. The club needs a massive overhaul and first get the right people in place.
Why on earth would he take on an interim role? Only way he does that is if he’s guaranteed the permanent job.I'm sorry you can't be arsed to see there's quite a few managers available as interim. Conte would be a good temp manager for instance.
We weren’t this bad under LVG though and we didn’t have to play City (presuming we get to the final despite conceding 30 shots against Coventry) in a final.Maybe. Who would you bring in for that though? This feels like LVG last season where if we win the FA cup he still gets sacked
But ETH is the one who continually picks him and even renewed his contract. It's also on ETH to sub underperforming players, which he failed to do with Dalot. He should go, but that doesn't mean the players aren't also the problem. Dalot was poor all game and got himself in a position where he gave away a penalty. Not a single player picked up the best player on the pitch - that is on the players.
We have a manager out of his depth and a team of players who are utterly clueless.
Wow, what a revolutionary strategic instruction to give
What did he think the players would do otherwise - play pass and move with someone in blue?
Would be astoundingly dumb to get an interim coach. If we make moves just take the time needed to understand the market and get the right profile in.I'm sorry you can't be arsed to see there's quite a few managers available as interim. Conte would be a good temp manager for instance.
It’s mostly his squad. We can’t keep blaming the players season after season. Why don’t we admit we’ve fecked up with our management choices since fergie, and had a rotten structure to compound itYeh, I mean I have no doubt EtH needs to go, but nothing changes until 95% of these players are out. So I ain't wasting my energy calling EtH anymore until I see a ruthless summer, I just don't want to see these players anymore.
Why is it suddenly quiet in here?
It’s just odd how many people are almost revelling in this.
And now. Peaceful.
Sooooo…
You are a fecking jokeReally?
Like really? Feck off.
Dont gloat when United have lost like that? Jesus Christ. Imagine that being your first thoughts.
Ten hag signed a big money CB. But he signed one that is permanently injured. So Maguire, who is fit every single week year on year, plays. God sounds like we need to get rid of that Maguire fella. To be clear I'm not the one actually claiming we need Martinez to play any sort of decent football someone else said that. But still if that theory were true we could have easily kept Fred, left Mount for a year or kept DeGea for a year and left Onana. Then signed a centre back if it was so important to Ten Hags system.
Well he would suit playing for us in his current form too
We are absolutely hopeless right now. Everything is vertical, zero control of any game, getting overrun in midfield by any crap side.
When you concede 30+ shots a game, you don’t get to complain when you lose that. But I bet Eth will do just that. Blame everyone else but his own shite coaching and criminally awful set up.
Because the season is over as of today. We won’t get CL and we won’t win the FA cup, there’s at least a chance we win the FA cup if we bring someone else in so take the risk with an interim.
Look, people ask who is available. There's one of a few.Why on earth would he take on an interim role? Only way he does that is if he’s guaranteed the permanent job.
Likely going to increase at the weekend. Really hoping to see an interim brought in soon (assuming the manager we want isn't prepared to join mid-season)
He’s not shit but he’s close to shit, he’s tactically inept and really does need to be sacked tonight! I’m sure we can get Hansi Flick or Lopetagi to manage the last 9-10 games of the season.I usually think most managers are good but just not good enough for the big time, but ETH might just be the first manager who I think is genuinely shit
I am not expecting him to be sacked this week but I dont see how you can sacrifice the next season as well if you are the new owner. There is nothing to suggest that he is the guy to take us forward and you don’t have to be a genius to figure that out. If they don’t replace him this summer, they will definitely be doing it at Christmas. There is no chance he is the man for United
The way we are playing and defender are dropping like flies, not sure we will get to the cup final.INEOS will wait till after the FA Cup final and will then relieve Erik of his duties whatever the outcome of that game. The same ending as LVG. He has clearly lost any semblance of control he maybe once had and it’s out and out chaos every game now. And a minus 1 GD in April. We’re in the latter weeks of ETH now.
I'm sorry you can't be arsed to see there's quite a few managers available as interim. Conte would be a good temp manager for instance.
I don't know if it's most, but it's still a sizeable enough amount for it to still be absolutely insane. Our supporters have always been too forgiving of terrible managers but I just don't know how anybody can even attempt to defend him at this point. Most of the fanbase aren't even against him.
