This is just revisionist now.We didn't really though did we?
And getting an effort out of them for one match was always going to be followed by the usual dross.

Eh? Have you had a knock to the head mate? This is just revisionist now.
Eh? Have you had a knock to the head mate?
Liverpool should have been way out of sight we got lucky.
Other sides seem to cope. Even those with new managers like Spurs.Would you not agree our pre season is more commercial centric than it is footballing?

Sorry I'm not having that. Let's agree to disagree.
Spurs have the same commercial commitments during pre season?Other sides seem to cope. Even those with new managers like Spurs.
You’re just wrong. At least on the Liverpool game you’re just wrong.Sorry I'm not having that. Let's agree to disagree.
We are shite and he has to go.
No I'm not. We should have been out way before we got the ending. You’re just wrong. At least on the Liverpool game you’re just wrong.
How much extra training time do you think they had over us?Spurs have the same commercial commitments during pre season?
He’s actually talked quite a bit about this. It seems like this is what he wants to do. He’s not worried about giving up shots. He persists with a single DM despite everyone and their fecking mother seeing that our midfield is getting over run. Our best form since he arrived was when we played a 4-2-3-1 with Eriksen and Casemiro at the base. Oh, that was after we lost to Brentford and Brighton to start the season.I disagree that this is what we’ve been doing through choice though. We’ve ended up having to make significant compromises to what the team can do.
The players would. The manager is very much up for debate. Which manager do you think without these players and in identical circumstances to this season (no LB and without a clear CB pairing all season, with significant injury and disruption to midfield) would do better?
I cannot understand the posters here who say he should be sold - said this for 2 years. Give him a bloody chance. The boy is class.
Joyous.
I've been done with him for a while now. I can't see any reason to keep him and no signs of even a glimmer of improvement
Sorry I'm not having that. Let's agree to disagree.

Your only reactions post Liverpool game…No I'm not. We should have been out way before we got the ending.
fecking hell are you alright?Your only reactions post Liverpool game…
Hmm.
Then final quote was first football post after the loss.
Hmm.
Na.
Significant amounts with their key players all fit.How much extra training time do you think they had over us?
It’s what he “wants” to do in the circumstances with what we’ve had available. He’s actually talked quite a bit about this. It seems like this is what he wants to do. With 80m in CL income on the line, you’d think he’d be practical enough to see that this formation isn’t working after 40 matches and change into something we can play with some semblance of competence.
Obviously, no one is going to change your mind. You think ETH is the next Pep, or at least a manager worthy of United. I think he’s mediocre at best. So far, there is pretty overwhelming evidence that he is mediocre. We’ll see. I hope I’m wrong.
So to be clear. You think Liverpool deserved to beat United. Despite the fact not a single media outlet, or reputable source would agree with you?fecking hell are you alright?
I was talking about Amad. Not the manager. He is clueless.
Have you been on the piss?
Who cares? I judge football with my own eyes not on XG or whatever others say.So to be clear. You think Liverpool deserved to beat United. Despite the fact not a single media outlet, or reputable source would agree with you?
In pre season? They were committed to a high line from the start. We've not look like we've had a clue all season.Significant amounts with their key players all fit.
Our injuries have been worse.
Respect. To continue to defend him and refuse to give up an inch of ground in the face of massive amounts of data that he’s borderline incompetent is an amount of faith that few on this earth can claim.Significant amounts with their key players all fit.

I cover this in the defence of the indefensible thread.
I don’t know for certain what level he can take us to. I do however believe give him 4/5 players of the correct profile next summer and I think we’ll absolutely leap forward.
ETH stubbornness is what’s killing usHe’s actually talked quite a bit about this. It seems like this is what he wants to do. He’s not worried about giving up shots. This is his biggest flaw. He just cannot adapt to anything.ETH stubbornness is what’s killing us

I think you’re butthurt that you’ve made a claim everyone disagrees with you on here.Who cares? I judge football with my own eyes not on XG or whatever others say.
Do you honestly believe this charlatan should be in charge next season?
Let's leave it there you are clearly in a foul mood for some reason have a good evening and take care.

That's your opinion and that's fine.I think you’re butthurt that you’ve made a claim everyone disagrees with you on here.
If xG isn’t an issue for you then surely 4th best defensive performance in the league is decent given we’ve had 24 (?) different defensive combinations.
Yes. I believe Ten Hag even after the Brentford game deserves a bit more time and structure around him before we throw him aside.
I believe with the right summer additions (ideally 5) we’ll see a jump in performance levels.
In 2024:
W - Wigan (A) 0-2 (FA Cup)
D - Tottenham (H) 2-2
W - Newport (A) 2-4 (FA Cup)

L - Man City (A) 3-1
W - Everton (H) 2-0
W - Liverpool (H) 4-3 (FA Cup)
D - Brentford (A) 1-1
Is it that bad? Really?
That's your opinion and that's fine.
But I disagree with you on every level. That is also allowed. If I could be arsed I would disprove everything you've said but it's getting late and there are better things to do.
I don't hate anyone or anything life is far too short for that kind of thing.Well the cat is out of the bag. You a hater!
Genuinely want to know what this structure will do?I think you’re butthurt that you’ve made a claim everyone disagrees with you on here.

Glory hunter, not a top red, doesn't live in Manchester and frankly spoilt entitled fan who should just support the team and have no opinion.Well the cat is out of the bag. You a hater!
The problem with that is whoever is in charge will find it difficult to move a lot of them on due to the contracts. It's a nightmare situation financially to move players. The one reason I want him to stay is because I feel we might get rid of more shite under him. Another manager may give some players another chance.
Might be better for us long term to just suffer a bit of short term pain.

The mental gymnastics is getting out of hand
And taken as a joke no issues here at allIt was a joke, there is nothing wrong with what he said. And calling anyone a gloryhunter after more than a decade of underperformance is impressive.

Generously you could say we don't have the players for the system. But that just reinforces your point, I think.Somethings clearly wrong with the tactics. City and Arsenal have conceded less shots combined than us in the league this season.

Halve the players he’s bought have played that system for him before.Generously you could say we don't have the players for the system. But that just reinforces your point, I think.
And I would disprove everything you say and we’d all high 5 and all the models in the world would be like wow that was so awesome let’s have an orgy. But it’s getting late and there are better things to doThat's your opinion and that's fine.

Buy players that can perform to a high standard in the PL in a high pressing transition side. That would help everything you have asked for.Genuinely want to know what this structure will do?
How is this structure going to reduce shots at our goal, reduce the space in our defensive transition and make us look half decent in possession?
