What he did with fullbacks was a pleasant surprise, and probably his best tactical decision ever since he came here, but then we turned into standard Ten Hag team where we lose any control once opponent read us and we don't adapt and do anything about it. Absolutely clueless as always.

Watch us do nothing in the second half because Klopp has read what he wanted to do.

Typical. We’re losing and crap like this comes out. Losing by mistakes may I add. We’ve played them off the park first half

Nonsense we are lucky we not losing by three.

A decent fifteen minutes then as soon as Klopp worked things out they just took over while Ten Hag did nothing as usual.

He is the worst manager we have had since Fergie quit and anyone wants him to continue is completely insane.

It’s not a bad score line so far. If we lose 4-1 by the end of the second half sure jump on the manager but we did alright first half apart from the end.

Shows the tactics did work for a lot of it. Maybe the squad doesn’t have the legs to keep it up for 45 mins.

Not having a go or being reactionary, but why can’t those posters defending him not see that the way he sets up his midfield is why we concede so many chances? The goals/collapses/pressure are as a result of the way he sets up the team.

It’s a constant issue and the reason why we are so inconsistent and he doesn’t fix it. We don’t look fit, we don’t look mentally prepared and he can’t set up the team in a way which provides consistency and cohesion.

There is literally no reason to keep him, and a number of reasons why we should replace him. I just can’t see the argument.

Exactly, and they have to come off at the 70th minute because they're ran into the ground, leaving us with zero outlet and letting the game dwindle to nothing. The tactics are totally unsustainable and will never work.
I totally get that and i have no objection to people saying he should go/his tactics are crap but physically we're just appalling. You can't play this kind of football with such weak players.

Roy Keane having a go at Rashford as we speak.

the way we play football is hilarious, we might as well be an NBA team

Obviously Bruno and Rashfords fault...

Pretty sure they're our two highest paid players. Not sure how he can be blamed for them being here.

They're not. Casemiro and Varane are our two highest paid players. Mount and Martial are also both higher paid than Bruno. Rashford got his new contract under ETH which makes him third highest.

Can we freaking sack him? Let's start the process of a new manager. I cannot understand why we try pass around in defence when our players are so weak. How does Onana improve us? He constantly put our own defenders under pressure. We need hardworking midfielders and that does not include McTominay and Bruno. Get a new managers and get in 5-6 need players. Sell

This happening when we are down 1-0 in the 85th minute is understandable. How on Earth we are this open when up a goal at home is absolutely shocking. This was the most glaring example, but it was far from the only time so you can't just say it was a fluke or miscommunication.

Saying this after that first half is pure madness.
Saying he's not is pure madness. Can you not see the gaps in our midfield? Can you not see Bruno diving every match while Rashford isn't trying. How about Ten Hag drops there players and tightens up the midfield a bit?

It’s mental and it happened 2-3 times before the eventually scored and the coach didn’t do anything. We have been doing it for two years now and the coach doesn’t do anything. It’s honestly ridiculous.

It is hilarious looking at how we played in the last 15 minutes of that half that there are still people who think ETH is a reputable tactician or understands football systems. He doesnt.

McTominay and Mainoo both bombing forward with abandon.

But apparently its not down to the manager. Imagine playing an entire season exactly like this and expecting to do anything serious.   We have a literal mad man in charge of us and many continue to defend him. Absolutely mental.

He and his coaching team are responsible for training them. If we need them to be fitter/stronger for his tactics to work, that's what they should be focusing on. He should've also signed players who are more physically able

You can fit an A380 between our forwards and defence, and yet the idiots in here will say its the players falling apart.

Some people literally get less out of watching this sport, than a dog does.
The usual suspects want to have their cake and eat it. When we score some nice goals and have dangerous attacking play, it's a credit to the manager's tactical setup, but when we concede it's "unlucky", "chaos", "players not trying", "switching off", etc.

The first half was pure pashun  are you going to tell us it was a ETH tactical masterclass?
Where did I say that? We were better majority of that half, going to extremes and saying we didn't look coached at all is pretty idiotic extreme statement. Like usual. And as soon as I call out that crap, I am suddenly saying it was "masterclass". You lot and your extremes, there is no middle ground. :wenger:

A CB is injured though.

Apparently all the noise is that we're doing too much of that in training, not that it's showing on the pitch. I'm pretty sure that was a complaint in the days of Ole as well.

It's so frustrating, for 30 minutes that was a really good performance from us.

If the club has any ambition narrowly finishing fifth wont save his job
Totally agree he’s.gone Defeat number 17 incoming from our 40th game played, he needs sacking tonight and a new coach put in with 10 games to go,

No Man United Manager can have a 43% loss record and survive, let’s just sack him tonight and find an interim coach like Hansy Flick or even Lopetagi, anyone but ETH .

We should have been at least 3 up before they even had a shot on target. And why change something that was working. We conceded by pissing about at the back.

Sack ETH. Sell Rashford, Bruno, McTominay, AWB, Lindeloft, Varane, Maguire, Onana, Antony, Casemiro, Erikson. I will only keep Maino, Garnacho, Hoijund, the rest can go!

I know it's his job to train these players every day and coach them into playing the way he wants.

There's no way people can seriously defend it any longer.

The buck stops with him 100 percent

Yes, we had gaps defensively, but we combined pretty good with the ball, saying that there was " no sign of any coaching or tactics " is pure bollocks.

I am not sure that's fine even if you are in 85th minute, in those minutes you would expect at least your defence to play hogher than that. It's complete disbalance, and what's funny is that we play like this no matter the result or minute.

We have completely the wrong sort of players for the style of football ETH madly transitioned to in pre season. Even if the system wasn't dreamt up by an idiot.

Klopp signs Szobozlais and MacAllisters for a fecking good reason. We have so many spineless players without the ball, whether they have high work rates or not.

I'm convinced his supporters don't want what's best for United, they just don't want to admit they were wrong.

Is a manager not responsible for instilling motivation in his team anymore?
That depends on the 2nd half. But I can't fault him for the fragile players losing focus and motivation the moment it went 1-1 at 40mins. We were setup correctly and should have been at least 2-0 up.

This is genuinely maddening. How can any purported progressive, modern manager set up like this?

We simply don't have the players to play the way he wants and that's a criticism of the manager because he should change 'the plan' if it's not working.

To play the way he wants you need absolute monsters of physicality and strength in every part of the pitch, strikers who punish every mistake and are clinical every time they force an error and defenders who are technically very adept at playing from the back.

It's only because Martinez is injured and something-something overperformed last season and something-something Glazers.

This and they were so loud too all based on one lucky champions League run with a team he didn't even build

For ETH, the midfield must be some sort of sacred place that has to be left unoccupied at all times. What a joke of a manager. Nauseating stuff

It happened with every single manager post SAF mate. A cult that will not face the reality of the coach’s failings.
