How can anyone make an excuse for boring football at home against Crystal palace, I'm already apathetic to this season
Fair weather fan then?

If you read his posts in this thread you’ll notice how delusional he is.And when he fails to get a squad, that's been built over years to be best suited to mid block counter attacking football, playing progressive football, then we can sack him and get another in and live out the same cycle over and over.
Sounds wonderful.
Yes, it’s called making the manager accountable for their job. He can either coach the team to do better in possession or revert to something else that works with the current players better. I’m not sure why we’re talking like a manager can only play one style of football, they should be able to adapt to the players they have. And when he fails to get a squad, that's been built over years to be best suited to mid block counter attacking football, playing progressive football, then we can sack him and get another in and live out the same cycle over and over.

Out of interest mr terrible sarcasm; who would you hire ?Yeah you raise a fair point, we should just leave things as they are. ETH is doing a great job and we'll surely be in the running for top 4 by boxing day.
He’s trying to ease them in, of course. But there would have been a good argument for starting them. However, Mount did okay and Hojlund put a shift in and was unlucky. On today.
He dropped Mejbri and Garnacho.
That his mistake and it sends the wrong message to the players too.
That was the beginning of the end for me. No coming back from that. You should have seen how we looked when we lost 7-0 to Liverpool.
They did but they were shit in the final 3rd, as were Chelsea. We need someone who knows how to craft goals from the back.At least they created, we don't even do that at the moment
Better options were available than every one.Have they though?
Season One:
Antony- some alright moment, mostly poor. Chased all summer and over spent by £20/30m.
Martinez- I’ll give you this one, good signing.
Casemiro- world class before he arrived, now on the decline.
Malacia- started okay, can’t remember to many standout moments though.
Eriksen- some good moments, many more bad.
Sabizter (loan)- come and went without doing anything.
Dubravka (loan)- waste of time
Butland (loan)- waste of time
Weghourst (loan)- worst player to ever wear the shirt.
Season Two:
Onana- he can pass, his ability to keep the ball out of net is questionable. Is he really much of an improvement on Dave?
Mount- causes more of a headache in terms of team selection and has yet justified his fee.
Højlund- might turn out to be a good signing but as of yet, jury is out.
Bayindir- who knows, pointless signing and for more money than we sold Kovar.
Evans- nostalgia signing.
Amrabat (loan)- again, might turn out decent but as of yet hasn’t set the world alight.
Reguilon (loan) has been possibly the best summer signing despite being on loan, 30th choice left back and seemingly forgotten about by Tottenham.
In summary, there’s more bad than good when it comes to ETH signings and given the vast amount of money he’s spent, that’s really disappointing.
they’re more than entitled to be fed up.Fair weather fan then?
I've seen this movie before. He'll be sacked after months and months of continuous terrible performances and results. His successor will come in and get moderate success before the cycle contines again.
I mean SAF lost 1-4 at home to Liverpool and had the famous 1-6 vs City. I'll happily take a heavy beating in two matches a year if the rest of the football and the results otherwise are fineThat was the beginning of the end for me. No coming back from that.
I don't think so unless we hire the like of Jose. The squad building is based on pressing and passing so there will be some uses for whoever comes in if that happens.Worrying times. This team is one he built and he can't get them clicking. Next manager would have to change everything because this is ETH team. That will just set us back further if the rebuild needed is massive.
Hopefully, he turns things around.
Head in the sand is believing that a club the size of Manchester United doesn’t have a good scouting network. This is a very head-in-the-sand view about the club and its infrastructure.
He’s trying to ease them in, of course. But there would have been a good argument for starting them. However, Mount did okay and Hojlund put a shift in and was unlucky.
I didn’t think it was a mistake before the match, maybe not after the match either. Hopefully they come back in for Tuesday.
If we want to turn into a Brighton-esque side then bringing in Potter would be an idea. He would be a cheap option as well, which would thrill the owners.
Same, it’s a massive black mark against any manager that never goes away. That was the beginning of the end for me. No coming back from that.
Give it a bit of time. You can see there is an attempt to transition the side away from the counterattacking bruno/rashford 'rabbit out of the hat' tricks we've been used to. We're on a bad run but it really doesn't look hopeless and don't also see how it's either EtH's fault that the club has been a circus with the sale, Greenwood, Sancho etc etc,If Ole had Varane, Martinez, Casemiro, etc, he would have achieved more than Ten Hag last season.
Ten Hag has spent £400m and he’s playing worse football than Ole did. You need to be honest and cut out the excuses.
Man Utd are painful to watch and the recruitment/decision making last summer has been horrendous.
I don't think it's fair to call anyone that. The people you'd classify as such would've stopped following United a long time ago now.Fair weather fan then?
they’re more than entitled to be fed up.
I haven’t watched us play since last season as I refuse to whilst the scum still own us.
I hope we lose every game until they’re gone.
The CL finish just papers over cracks every year. But some on here hoover it up like it’s a trophy.
I can’t think back to then but I know he finished 8th twice and then 5th before we seen his team get consistently good.I am not fancy the idea to sack ETH. Just like to know if Arteta had similar string of results like this, 4 losses out of 7 in league? Just wondering because I didn’t follow their results.
Your post was literally in response to a poster asking what made De Zerbi qualified for the job, and was in support as he has Brighton "playing good football".
Ten Hag had turned a recently unsuccessful Ajax into a domestically dominant team and did quite well in Europe too, a far superior CV, and a good fit for what we needed.
Anyway if DZ isn't your choice for a replacement, then who is? So far I haven't read a single opinion on the side of sacking EtH that isn't shallower than a dog bowl, but if you have a sensible suggestion that's well qualified and has accomplishments that suggest they'd be a success here then I'd love to hear it.
When did I say that?Yeah if you exclude how we are doing this season then we are doing great?
I don't think it's fair to call anyone that. The people you'd classify as such would've stopped following United a long time ago now.
I m not so sure about that. Our players don't look like they can press or pass . Maybe it is a coaching thing.I don't think so unless we hire the like of Jose. The squad building is based on pressing and passing so there will be some uses for whoever comes in if that happens.
Ye 100%. That’s why he doesn’t give a shite about his performances because he knows he’s unstoppable or he thinks he is because the managers keep playing him.I cant see that happening because "My Rashy shall always play" is actually a thing.
We should keep him till May at least. There are no alternatives.
However, right now it seems to me that he has no plan. For anything. In retrospect, even the Ronaldo incident shows that he has no plan. As a manager, you are in control, you don't pick a fight with your superstar striker without some idea of how you are going to replace him. He got the useless Wout, and he used him every week because he had no other ideas. Then, he paid 70 million for a 20 year old prospect. We still have no proper striker, after spending 400 million! There is no plan.
I have no idea how Ajax worked, but is it possible that all the planning at Ajax was Overmars and only Overmars?
We're pretty consistent this season, have to give him thatThe crisis would’ve been massive if it wasn’t for a lucky win against “almost jumbo Burnley” Can’t remember a more depressing start of a season; most stable crap I’ve witnessed.
Yes everyone envies us for our good scouting network and the continued success and sustainability it has delivered to eight managers over ten years so far. Head in the sand.Head in the sand is believing that a club the size of Manchester United doesn’t have a good scouting network.
