Its always been that way and its older than the Euros. I guess the Africans should bow down to Europe again.

Is your tag line just an Outkast thing or are you from the 404?

I don't mind the money, just that not one person on here even suggested he was the right centre back for us, and I've seen lots of names mentioned..that's what worries me mostly.

Yea but what the feck do we know?

So you rate the caf's scouting knowledge on cbs higher than Jose Mourinhos? ;)

Came across him when playing a save with Villareal on fifa, he immediately stood out as the team's best defender which was weird because I tought Musacchio was the big man at the back and I had never heard of this guy.
Are you seriously mentioning this with no tongue-in-cheek?

Wow, reading the news now.

It's actually the first time ever that I've genuinely got no idea about a player we're about to sign. It's the first time I've ever heard of him.

I rate him

I feel if United sign him it will be the case of Mourinho binning him like he did the Senegalese defender Djilo-nobody. But wait, that guy only cost 3M.

These youtube vids show that he's a fierce tackler, very athletic with great acceleration. Still don't see anything in terms of distribution, aerial ability and of course, what youtube can't really show, positional sense.

Anyone actually seen him play a few games?

I bought him for my FM team and he was ace! Made an amazing CB pairing with Laporte.

Not that that helps of courseQ

Fascinating, literally nobody ever hearing about a player but the price is 30m. Puts into even more perspective the Patrice, Nemanja and Hernandez deals and how good those particular pieces of business were.

Or it will be the case of Mourinho playing him like he did that French defender Raphael-Varsomebody.

Both. Im from the A shawty. 404 is my area code. Yessir

Just got back from there on Thursday, been there 5 years straight now and going back next month. I'd love to move out there.

Sweet. What areas do you like the most? Where do you stay when out here?

If we do sign this guy, I'm starting to wonder if Jose doesn't really fancy Smalling as a first choice CB as I think he'd want more of a ball player alongside him

I did Memorial weekend there (well I stayed a week) and I always stay in the Marriott Marquis downtown. The nightlife is the best I've experienced.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if we get Bailly in as well as someone else. But I doubt it'd happen anyway. Smalling started the season really well but since that Wolfsburg game he did not play in the same way he did at the first half of the season. He is a good player, but he is not irreplaceable.

Memorial weekend is crazy everywhere, but we know how to party in Atlanta. What nightspots did you hit up? Sorry to derail this thread fellas. Bailly will be a good signing! So yes, where did you go Rozay? Virginia Highlands? East Atlanta Village? Inman Park? Little five points?

Sounds dodgy

No manager I would trust more than Mourinho when it comes to buying defenders. Haven't seen him play a lot myself, but I know Villarreal was rock solid defensively last season.

I went to Gold Rooms, Opera, Compound and Rose Bar. I've done Memorial in Miami, Cancun and Dominican Republic but Atlanta is easily the best.

I met a girl in Brookhaven for lunch once, and went to Buckhead a couple of times too.

I think I saw Eric Bailly in one of the clubs and he said he would love to join United and feck the Scousers.

Been impressed by Bailly this season. He's strong, fast, good interceptions, and also kinda fearless with his tackles. This also brings out a rashness that may result in yellow/red cards, but he's very young so not a thing to worry about much. I'm surprised by the high transfer fee. Villarreal will be crazy to turn down the reported offer.

Buckhead and Brookhaven, ah yuppies galore. My ex had a condo there and my current works close to Lenox square. Scouser women are scandalous. Met quite a few over at the Brewhouse cafe in little five points, flirting and shit with the enemy while their men are in the restroom. You should catch a game there sometime if you visit during the season. Assuming you haven't already. Also, the Atlanta Manchester united supporters group watches games at Fados Irish pub in midtown. Even Liverpool fans have a pub now called Meehans or some shit. Fun times for all.

Bailly is a good lad. fecking the scousers

I'll PM you out of pure consideration now lol.

And feck the Scousers.

He's a standout player on a La Liga team that just secured CL football. Hardly unknown.

BAILLY, BAILLY, BAILLY OOOH
LIKE, BAILLY, BAILLY, BAILLY NOOO
LIKE BAILLY, BAILLY, BAILLY OOOH

AT UNITED I KNOW THAT YOU'LL SHINE (SHINE)

One of the best young athletic CB's available. I am glad we aren't going for overrated Stones with his sad defensive skills. You might as well start Blind and save £50 mil. I would have preferred Varane so we could start a defender who can pass, but with Smalling and Bailly (fingers crossed) we are going to have some quick physical defenders who can protect the back line while Mourinho plays the attacking football expected from our side. Jones, TFM, and Blind can serve as backups or even play the defensive midfield role against tough opponents. Hopefully Mourinho spends a lot of time teaching our defenders (except Blind) how to be composed and pass properly.

well I never heard about him but if he's good enough for mourinho he's good enough... if he's one for the future then we should probably give a chance to one of our own kids like Williams, Tuanzebe or TFM who I think will play as midfielder in the future

The price quoted probably include various achievement and performance bonuses. And if you have to pay those it is a good thing since the transfer was highly successful.

I've never heard about this guy but hopefully he is the beginning of a new era of domination for us.
