It feels like in the modern game 90% of LBWs are reviewed.
Bairstow reminds me of David Seaman in his last couple of years when he dives like that. Full length dive, but somehow adding about 2 inches to him just staying in the same spot.
Even more frustrating that these 2 have put up a good partnership since and look very comfortable now.Ian ward is absolutely right there. feck Nitin Menon
I bet you Foakes would have gathered it cleaner and made it a clear dismissal.I see Bairstow is back to being target number one in here again
Who knows but it wasn't really a mistake by Bairstow.I bet you Foakes would have gathered it cleaner and made it a clear dismissal.
Still not as frustrating as the Smith 'catch' from Root when the series still hadn't been decided at Lords. Considering how close that test was in the end it was a huge call that was largely forgotten about because of the Carey and Bairstow incident that came later.Even more frustrating that these 2 have put up a good partnership since and look very comfortable now.

Oh look, another catch from Bairstow.
Did you just see that replay? He hit the stumps before he had the ball. Awful.Who knows but it wasn't really a mistake by Bairstow.

We’re making heavy weather of mopping up the tail
I expected more of this. Pleasantly surprised it hasn't happened often.
This series is just so crazy. Keeps going from one team to the other every half hour
Umpire/DRS had a mare with this (even though the right decision was made on the wrong basis).
Why can't we bowl properly with good plans to tail Enders? It's exactly the same concept. A bloke stood at the other end of the pitch with a bat in his hand. Only a lot shitter. Just bowl the exact same plans. If it's good enough for the top 5 why's it not good enough for them? It feels like we reinvent the wheel every time.
Everyone was too harsh on Bairstow, mainly because everyone needs a scapegoat it seems.Looking back on the run out, I was probably too harsh on Bairstow. Smith was definitely out.
Get real he's been an poor keeper for a very long time. If he plays as a batsman fine but Foakes should have started the series anyway.Everyone was too harsh on Bairstow, mainly because everyone needs a scapegoat it seems.

He's been a poor keeper for years not just this series. He can be great with the bat but Foakes would have been a far better pick and he also held up his end batting the last couple of years.
Love it. He's dropped a few catches, as has Carey. As has some of the fielders.
He's also picked up some brilliant catches too.
Also he's been handy for England with the bat.
I don't understand this scapegoat mentality I guess.
