Bazball is getting unfair criticism imo. Australia are just a better side.
The alternative England have is to ask these players to play a game they cant, or to recall the likes of Hameed, Burns, Sibley etc who have repeatedly failed. Sure, Bazball could be refined a bit but that will only happen with some trial and error.
There's worse ways to lose. The first test went down to the wire, the second England had half a chance at the start of the 4th innings. The decisive factor has been quality rather than strategy.
I think for the next test England need to give Jimmy a rest, and it's an opportunity to bring in some more pace (if any of the pace bowlers are actually fit). Also against this Australian attack and with an inconsistent top 3, England need to be able to bat down to 8 imo, so accommodating Woakes somehow or maybe Ahmed seems necessary.
I did try and say this after the 1st test they are just better, we are playing this way to try and win and not other way which was bound to lose, we can talk about the shortball shots but the Aussies did exactly the same today.
I've only seen the Brook ball today but that's not about batting approach that's a ball that will get most batters out
