No doubt, albeit some are also just unlucky with injuries - i think the Aussies went through this as well with both Cummins and Starc being frequently injured (possibly even Hazelwood?). If I'm not mistaken, they rotate/rest them quite well - it does help having someone like Boland though.

What a mess we are in fast bowling terms

Archer (likely never playing another test)
Stone (can't stay fit)
Mahmood (same)
Wood (needs to be managed)

Feel free to throw anyone else's name in

Yeah because they are ruthless unlike us and know how to keep a team down. This is why they have retained The Ashes

Just post normally without the stupid hyperbole looking for reactions every time you oddball

Bit of an elephant in the room, but Jimmy has not been good so far this series has he?

Agree - I wonder if that was a victim of B-road thinking everything is out.
That autocorrect is a bitch isn’t it. I’ve almost done that so many times in the last two weeks.

In conclusion, I think we can safely say that, on a subconscious level at least, Broad has been proven to be a superb judge of lbw appeals.

Not only is he a man who has sent down 32,592 balls over the course of his Test career and taken 582 wickets, he is also a highly sophisticated judge of leg-befores (of which he has taken 97), capable of processing information in the split seconds between ball cannoning into pads and appeal being launched.

Admittedly some DRS problems do seem to arise when more time is taken and he engages the conscious part of his mind, but ultimately I think we can add another accomplishment to his ongoing legacy.

Stuart Broad - fifth-highest wicket taker in Test history, international centurion, meme king and subconscious DRS master.

Ultimately, Stokes was the only one playing "sensible" cricket and he ended up with a lower strike rate than everyone apart from Tongue and Anderson and one of the lowest run returns.
Because one innings from one batsman really demonstrates why batting sensibly doesn’t work, right?

Aussies should play methodically till they get a lead of 325-350ish then start swinging. Anything over 375, I don’t see England chasing.

They might take the handbrake off, go HAM to a lead of 400+ aswell.

They wont want to chance giving England anything less than 420 IMO.

Obvs they'd be huge Favs with anything above 350, but even if they set something huge in four sessions England wont bat out a draw so they may aswell get plenty.

Aussies won’t give England more than 110-120 overs here so they will probably bat till after tea and try to get 450+ target

Bad day for England that. Staring down the barrel somewhat. Not done yet though.

Aus are going to want 200 more I would imagine they won't feel happy to declare till the lead is 400. Probably another 2 session. Leaving them 4 sessions or 120 overs to knock England over.

How will England play though? Surely if it's 450 in 4 sessions there not going for that. But with Bazball who knows really.

That would be 450 in about 120 overs - they would not even need to play for that, if they're still in - they'd win.

Still every chance that England can have a good morning session tomorrow and bowl Australia out. It's not as if England bowled badly today; they actually deserved to have three at the very least.

Plus, there will be a bit of moisture in the surface going into the morning session that may suit Anderson especially.

I'm not massively optimistic but I don't see it as a given that Australia will just declare as and when they see fit.

Aussies are a bowler short too. That has to be a factor in their game plan. Don’t think England will give cheap wickets to Head next innings.
Wanna bet on that? England shout be a 100+ runs in front not behind and that's due to giving wickets away cheaply
