English cricket 2015 - NZ, The Ashes, Pak and SA

In seaming overcast conditions, there is no one better than Anderson. He's been outstanding.

Wood's injury might have been a blessing. Finn has been brilliant too.

Australia have lose all their reviews after Broad got Rogers LBW. England will bat today. You'd hope Australia's bowling effort at Lords has opened up some old wounds for England.

In hindsight, a terrible decisions to bat first by Clarke.

Perfect conditions for Anderson.

stupid shot from Bell. England 132-3

What a strange days cricket so far.

Ian Bell in a nutshell today I'm afraid.

Lovely, confident shot making, beautiful to watch and looking solid and then plays an ugly slog off some innocuous spin bowling. He's done enough to save his England career you should think but what a shame he couldn't have been so much more.

Reminds me of Nasser Hossain, nearly world class but simply could not go that extra 2% to put himself into the Dravid/Ponting type class of player.

Buttler needs to use his feet more vs. Lyon, gets trapped on the crease too much.

EDIT: Did get further forward than it looked to be fair.

Heck of a pitch, turn, bounce and seam all within the first 2 days.

Handy lead but with Cook, Bell and Root all getting out being well set I think England will be disappointed it isn't greater.

I'm just glad I don't have tickets for the weekend, because this could be over tomorrow

England haven't batted Australia out of the game. I fear this could be a close one.

Australia have to set England 250 for me if they want to win this match.

Is the pitch that difficult to bat on?

It's not as bad as the stats would tell you, but 22 wickets falling before the end of the fifth session is bloody impressive. I can see this ending tomorrow.
