That would be good , but we would need a few others to score big.
To stand any chance of a win we would need to score 600-650+ and do it with time to get the Aussie's out and I dont think we can do it , not with Flintoff and KP out of the team.
From the bad start I would settle for a draw and go into the last test needing only a draw to take the Ashes.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a John Terry like recovery from KP too as it seems that without at least 1 of Freddy or KP we're fecked.

Modern England test batsmen score runs quickly and get out quickly. Gone are the days of Barrington and Boycott batting all day.

Its the middle order thats letting England down. You just cant see Bopara, Bell, Collingwood, Prior or Broad scoring a big one.

As soon as Strauss went last night, you feel they Ausies are into us.

Changes are needed.

England have struggled to replace Vaughn and Trescothic, and without Pieterson & Flintoff, the squad looks a shade on its 05 self. This team playing in the testmatch is one of the weakest England have ever fielded and its showing.

With this current side, at this moment in time, the Bangladeshi's would give them a run.
