They did it last test aswell I think the media made a big issue over it to be honnest the same people gave Ponting a standing ovation.
I don't see what the big deal is with Ponting getting booed by the English supporters. Ronaldo gets booed by Liverpool fans, despite it being obvious he's a great footballer. Similar thing here, just a different sport.
