England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

Yeah of course. I totally understand but then they should direct their concerns at those who are treating them this way. The coloured person next door to them isn't responsible for their struggles.

I'm not actually arguing with yourself or @moses, hope you both know.
Tough times, repulsive behaviour. Displaying anger like we've seen over the past few days is expected of animals, not human but then again, i don't think I'd ever describe these people as humans. They're vile no matter what they're going through.
Absolutely

The funny thing is, you thought you would of learned not to listen to the right wing media and politician on whose fault it is.

The global financial crisis was a trigger for austerity and that was blamed on to many government services and the "scroungers". Benefits system was destroyed, social care gone, policing cut, public services cut.. Not too mention the cuts to councils forcing closures of leisure centres, youth centers and pretty much any benefit to the public. Then you have punalative acts targeting the lower class like the bedroom tax, or outsourcing PIP assessment on target based contracts. Lack of investment by the government slows the investment by private business. But hey we had stuff like benefits street and Cameron constantly repeating the line "strivers not scrounges" to continue the vilification.

Not too mention the mass sell off of social housing via right to buy and the lack of replacement being built by successive governments.

Country debt doubles and Austerity was a disaster, the middle and lower class become disenfranchised so guess what, we are told to blame the EU. To many people coming from the EU, EU Laws suppress us, EU Laws are stopping our economic growth etc etc.

Brexit happens, the pot at the end of the rainbow never appears, infact it's worst. Economic growth slows. Areas with large industry are impact as manufacturing moves abroad, then Mr Brexit James Dyson moves operations outside the UK. The fishing industry is decimated, farmers are struggling and small business are snowed under by red tape.

National debt has tripled

So guess what, we're now blaming immigration and "illegal" immigration. Oh we're spending millions a day on putting asylum seekers in hotels? Oh we're not sending them back. Is that their fault or is it the years or underfunding and cuts to the home office that processing time has doubled? NHS waiting lists up? Is that because of a few coloured faces or is it because bursaries were cut, pay has not increased in years so we have a lack of junior doctors and nurses, with the ones we do train are quick to leave. Is it because we have an ageing population and social care cuts so we lack out of hospital care. What else is there fault?

What happens when we get rid of immigrants and you give up your rights because we've removed ourselves from the ECHR? So companies and the government can have free reign over you? Who do you blame them? What happens when we have more and more people entering the years for there state pension and for longer but we don't have enough people in the current general supporting it? Look at Germany, they are us in 10 years, practically begging for immigration as they don't have enough people working to support the older population and to build their workforce. We're actually already their... Look at the lack of workers in certain industry and we wonder why immigration has risen.

Maybe people need to educate themselves on the benefits that people from outside this country are real entitled to. My other half is American,I guess nobody minds as she's the right type of migrants, but if she lost her job can she apply for benefits? Nope.

All this this whilst real term wages have stagnated, cost of living has increased, bills go up, house prices rise, whilst corporate profits keep rising but we see none of it.. We struggle to get onto the ladder whilst real estate corps are allowed to sit on land rather than build for years on end, build large rent only developments whilst others can hoard houses and leave them empty. That's the real failure to acknowledge that's happening.

As long as people are able to be convinced there are better than others, that won't notice what they being exploited by those richer.
Except for the shocking grammar, it's a very good post. Sums everything up quite nicely.

I mean burning down businesses you're worried about probably isnt the best way to have them succeed. I doubt majority of the rioters care about anything other than kicking coloured people out. They're as thick as pig shit.
TBH pig shit isn't thick enough to be a comparison but I'm struggling to think of something aptly thick enough!

Again using local examples, maybe if it is off the market it is a sign the area is disadvantaged, and then adding extra people might put a strain on services such as education and health.

Like I said in the Irish version of this thread, using that same hotel for this prpose in a slightly different way could help the community, but the reality as it stands, is not so.
Another thing that puts strain on local infrastructure is our habit of letting developers build 200 family homes on the edge of town, but there's no new school, GP surgery or dentists to go with it. If you're lucky, there'll be a small retail block that has a Tesco Metro, a branch of Barnados and a Papa Johns or similar shite. All the local essential services are then stretched further.

Not the rioters, but often these riots are the perversion of legitimate issues.

They are the end result of 50 years of Government policy that's created an environment of poor people blaming other poor people for the issues in society rather than the rich politicians who created many (if not all) of these problems.

It’s a complex problem, and these people are continually being subverted into believing there’s a simple answer. And again, they’re idiots, politics and peaceful protest against the government is never going to be something they do.

That’s a superb post. Even resonates with me, the resident redcafe centrist dad.

Can we please capture as many stories as possible of these pathetic weevils snivelling and crying in local courts up and down the land in these pages?

It does wonders to my faith in humanity to see these snivelling little shitehawks getting sent down and being ridiculed for their crap tattoos giving themselves away or them actually videoing themselves doing their little atrocities.

Good starting point here...

Agreed. But that's where a good education helps. A good understanding of the root cause of the issues you're facing. Being open minded. These are the sort of attributes these people do not possess. Most of them have access to books, the internet and other useful sources but instead of informing themselves, second guessing themselves over rioting, they resort to the absolute extremes. I'm sorry but I find it difficult to empathise with these baboons.

I would take that with a big pinch of salt, no lawyer with any integrity or care for their career is going to leak personal whatsapp conversations with their client.

It maybe she is his lawyer and she may have quit, but I still would not believe that screen shot is genuine.
A huge pinch of salt, I'm pretty sure you'd be disbarred for sharing a screen shot like that

Aye, the lack of a joined-up plan is usually part of any problem.

It's not necessarily about empathising with them directly, but it's important to understand the underlying reasons for why we currently have groups of thugs trashing the streets. There are institutions which have been manipulating sections of the public for years, and this is the result. The problem is this episode will probably get swept away as a simple case of the closet racists coming out of the woodwork for a bit, and the real problem will persist.

It's often a serious case of bad planning and lacke of foresight.

I worked in regeneration for a long time and the localities I worked in some things were foretold 30ish years ago.

For example in one locality a lot of schools were closed and torn down due to age and what was felt to be reducing numbers in children in the area. Often 3 schools closed and one "mega" school to replace them.

The issue was that it was foretold that with everything else going on, so for example, whole rows of terraced houses being bought to be knocked down and replaced with new housing stock, that families were the targets of the new housing. Families which would mean an increase in children in the area. Children which would mean need for school spaces and there being the lack of schools to accommodate. No one listened and now we are at that point.

The schools my own children and even one I had attended were big schools. Got old and were knocked down and replaced with these Lego looking structures that were much much smaller in size. Then the surrounding areas saw massive house building projects under the housing market renewal pathfinder initiative. Straight away the schools were not fit for purpose.

Yeah Tommy put it in a list of screenshots "of support" on his own account before he deleted it

Ironic that the same people complaining last week about people using mental health as an excuse / reason for criminal behaviour..lots of tweets and memes about the mental health card being played by brown/black muslimanics..are now using mental health as excuse for their thuggery.

And they'll be able to justify it as well. Because that's exactly what's happening. If the rioters were slightly more intelligent then they could have done this right way and actually fought for their rights. This level of stupidity, if anything, plays into the governments hands.

As for priti patel, she did more than most to create a hostile / dog whistle environment for immigrants, whilst platforming the likes of farage, and now she mentions her disgust at racism.

"Wharton's solicitor Isaac Mirza"

A lot of these knuckle draggers, including our own Tommy seem to have a penchant for Muslim/POC lawyers. Question is why these lawyers are so willing to represent these absolute dregs? Not an expert on the law but from what I understand there isn't a hippocratic-oath like obligation to represent every degenerate that requests your services, you could just - turn them down? Unless these same lawyers figured they were 'one of the good uns' so were exempt from the hatred and vitriol their would-be clients love to spread, until they realise they very much aren't (as was the case with Robinson's lawyer).

Perhaps she's had a horrifying light bulb moment realising that the people she was trying to galvanise were not just going after "illegals", but rather people who look very much look like her too.

Or perhaps that's giving her too much credit and she's simply back-tracking and desperately trying to distance herself from the sheer display of thuggery we've seen, absolving herself of culpability.

I don't understand why these business owners worried about tourism reducing because of hotel rooms being full don't do some Airbnb?

That way, they get the Airbnb money, the tourist money and the asylum seeker money?

I thought these people were entrepreneurs?
Why does this post feel like it was written by Ben Shapiro?

I am 100% not justifying their actions, they are at best ignorant footsoldiers for people I detest. I just think as full an understanding as possible of what is happening is essential for a fix.

I agree. As an Asian immigrant myself (and Muslim to boot) these times are scary times, or certainly the news lately.

To be honest though some of these kids smashing windows don't scare me, neither do some of the onlookers making odd comments here and there. Disappointed but not scared.

What is scary, however, is the platform given to likes of Tommy and likes of Farage.

Most scary is the media take and presentation, some of which has been posted on this thread.

Exactly, but that's why the government and agenda-driven media outlets/figures target them. These people are idiots, have little to lose, and a perceived notion of everything to gain.

These things always remind of that gene hackman story in mississipi burning about his dad being so full of hate he didn't realize being poor was what was killing him.
