That operates on a rota, the solicitors don;t get a choice, they just take th enext case in line. This is deliberate to ensure every person gets representation, which is needed for a fair legal system. If it weren;t and it was on a volunteer basis, no one would represent the nonces, wife beaters and racist rioters.

There's a huge amount of English people in Scotland but, leaving that aside, whilst it's true that Scotland needs immigration there's plenty of racists North of the Border and we're the hold standard in deprivation. It's more, I think, that they're missing the, for want of a better description, cause to galvanise around. Maybe disconnection from Westminster is part of that.
They are reporting it was to do with some of them making gun gestures, not so much the language. Is that different to a white guy doing a slitting the throat gesture.

Endless amounts of property damage, houses and businesses trashed, countless officers injured, people of colour indiscriminately attacked on the streets, buildings set on fire with people still inside of them, and THAT is what you felt the need to post

For context, my parents live not too far from here. There has been several threats from EDL groups and messages that they were planning on meeting up at 5pm and doing what they’ve done in the North.
These areas are predominantly Asian, black and Eastern European communities. Many people have been worried there, I’ve actually had to take the day off and bring my parents to where we live and the GP surgeries in that area along with local business have closed.
The collection of people you are seeing there are waiting for the EDL to turn up- there was thoughts from the locals that the threats may have been empty and to provoke a mass turn out from the locals to show them in a bad light.
As of right now, no signs of the EDL

Yeah this is my suspicion as well. The EDL are rumoured to be coming to my neck of the woods on Wednesday, and already I've got a few emotionally charged mates and family members suggesting we join up in numbers in a strong display of force to ward them off. I've very strongly suggested they do no such thing since their organised presence will likely be used as ammunition out of context to dignify the far-right fear mongering.
I hope so too mate, it’s actually a disgrace what’s happening in the UK right now. But I know it’s just a small minority who are extremely loud at this moment in time. I hope the groups in the above video don’t get baited into doing something stupid.
Just hope things settle down, and we can bring people together really, but that does seem like a dream at the moment.

Easier said than done when you see the damage being caused.
Locally only the mosque grounds had a presence and as I mentioned earlier in the thread imams and community leaders were out telling the lads in no uncertain terms that weapons and violence would not be tolerated. Literally saying they would "excommunicate' trouble makers.
Had the mosque been attacked though no body was under illusion that there would be retaliation.
Seeing the numbers there worked and the rioters kept away and targeted the easy pickings of quiet streets and businesses areas.
This is part of the problem. I really don't think that people in the midst of immigration processing receive anything but a bare minimum to cover living expenses. But the actual facts are nowhere near as well publicised and publicly available as all the misinformation and lies are.
Perhaps some money should be put aside to run campaigns getting the truth out to the public and start to nip it all in the bud on social media before it turns into a shit show free-for-all on the streets.

Not sure if it's still the same. However a few years ago there was no money given. Just vouchers that could be exchanged for certain necessities at certain shops.
However what did happen was shops were happy to rip the migrants off and take say a £20 voucher and give a fiver in return without a purchase. Many migrants did this as they needed as the needed other things as opposed to what the vouchers could be used for.
X is uncontrollable. Serafinowicz just posted about UK suspending arms export licenses to Israel and almost all the replies are about "Islamification" of the UK. I really don't see how you get anywhere near interrupting the constant, pounding, omnipresent preset narrative there, never mind set the prevailing story. I don't think that you could throw enough money at that particular problem.

I see all the racist gammons are popping up on social media after being quiet referring to the footage above. When it's clearly explained that those people are there because the EDL was expected.
They should heavily fine the company for allowing the spread of hate or ban it altogether.
