England in India 2021

England's death bowling has been very poor. They often start well and then lose composure. The only weak spot in the lineup, imo.
The death bowling is usually fine so not too worried about that. Don't forget we have a guy in the team for that specific job.

Do feel that we're short a top bowler though.

The bench strength is just as strong as India's if not more so.

Not true actually. I would fancy England against anyone at the world cup but apart from Hales I don't think that people outside the 11 are that good . Moeen is very up & down specially if he has to bat in the lower order . There is no other spin option that is good . Tom Curran has struggled for a while now as has Jordan but again not a lot of other great options . I like Sam billings but he is the only right handed option England have for the lower middle order

You know what Dinesh Karthik is a very good pundit, he's right that England should drop Malan and move Stokes to 3 and play Billings in the lower middle order for the final T20. They won't do it though, they'll try to show faith in Malan.

Would imagine Malan is already on thin ice actually. The fact that Morgan called him out after getting that 100 in New Zealand suggests he might not be the most popular guy with the management.

And yes I agree, DK is excellent.

England have been amazingly lucky as far as toss is concerned. Huge advantage when it's a dew and flat pitch.

Think India would've won the series if we had won three out of four tosses.

Nice line up for India. I would have given tewatia a chance instead of sundar. Tewatia a better batsmen than sundar in t20 formats and can bowl well too.

I think England might still have beaten India in the first T20 even if they lost the toss. The make up of that India side wasn't great but since SKY and Ishan have come in, they have helped India significantly.

Good to see England using their full squad in these T20's...

Shithouses.

India have aced the selection today but their overall methods have been so weird . They have found good players but overall in terms of roles they are even more confused than they were at the start

Obvious change was Topley for Jordan. What's the point of these lads if we don't play them.

India will win this and big.

Moving Kishan down the order when he flourished opening was strange.

Still think KL will open in World Cup. But this lineup is best use of all talents available. With Jadeja and Bumrah is still to come, this must be strongest Indian lineup for T20 with available players

Yes jadeja instead of Sundar and bumrah instead of nattu or shardul (although his batting is looking like an asset) and we will look good.

Yeah slightly surprised they've flown a whole team out there to live in the bubble and not given many of them a game.

A lot the pre world cup talk was about building bench strength, but Morgan seems to have become a bit more cliquey since.

Slower balls are the trick. Wood archer were just trying to bowl quick especially wood. Feel indian bowlers will enjoy bowling.

That was an excellent over by Jordan..almost.

T20 is definitely the only form of the game where I'm a bit dissapointed when an opposition batsman going that well gets out

Looked like that might have kept a bit low, too.
