Coady is so poor, why is he going? Tomori is much better than Mings as well.

Mings isn't even the best England eligible centre half at his own club.

Four right backs and no JWP? I understand we could potentially play 3 at the back, with Walker being a centre back, but four is an overload, in my opinion.
DCL is a better player than Watkins pretty easily. Having said that, Watkins should be going in place of one of the bloody right backs.
Yeah we aren't blessed with talent in midfield but surely Lingard or Ward-Prowse would be a better backup option for the bench rather than 4 rb's.
5 Midfielders in the squad and Henderson isn't even fit.
The squad is ridiculous unbalanced, hardly any midfielders (and one has been injured for what feels half the season) and a ton of defenders and attackers
Has he ever played a senior match in his career in midfield? I'm not sure a major tournament is the time to experiment. Surely you'd pick an actual midfielder there especially when you can name a squad of 26
It will be better playing without one if Kane is unavailable.

Tyrone Mings - awful choice. I am an advocate of playing TAA in midfield but as he's not been tried there in any previous matches, I can't think Southgate will start experimenting in a tournament. Think he just bottled the decision.
Lingard isn’t a central midfielder. I’d honestly take TAA in midfield over JWP too.
Yeah it is a total mystery how JWP cant even get into this squad given how weak the options are in midfield. Bizarre.

JWP should have been included, he is a good player and has played well for Southampton.

Someone who knew what they were doing would pick an actual midfielder but this is Southgate, the man who failed upwards into the job and has never given any indication he knows what the hell is going on or even what he is doing there.
