I reckon Stones, Maguire and Walker at CB actually makes sense. All 3 of them arguably better on the ball than our CMs. Not Rice - phillips again though for the love of god. Why Gareth? Why are you the way that you are?

Deschamps wasn't defensive against Switzerland, France was looking for the 4-1.
It was the opposite, he should have calmed down a bit after the 3-1, also Pogba lost the ball that costed the game for France.
And Portugal didn't lose for being defensive, they just couldn't create shit against Belgium, but they were sure trying to equalize the game.
He wasn't exactly defensive but with the ability he has he should be getting more of a tune out of that side. France looked so disjointed all tournament. Reminded me a bit of Brazil 2006 where everyone was saying it's only a matter of time before their talent came to life and how brilliant they were etc. and then they got knocked out in the quarters.

It's actually basically the same team G-Nev posted like 5 days ago. I think it's hard to actually pick a worse team with the squad we have if you tried. I expect us to be at least 2 down by half time, completely overrun, and the pundits to be rolling out cliches how you just didn't see this coming, England had come into this game looking so solid.
