Emre Can

Reminded me of his performance against us in the U21 Euro. Atrocious.

Never seen the appeal. He occasionally does a fancy flick or shows some brute force but in general is absolutely brainless. That GIF where he got ankle-broken by Blind of all fecking players was just vintage.

The feck?

The feck?
Just a turn of phrase for when a defenders legs are left tongue tied by an attackers skill. Think Boateng vs Messi. This was the GIF in question, btw.

@DWelbz19 Oh, ok. I thought you ment that Blind had broken Cans ankle and you thought that was vintage. I was like wtf.

Honestly can't say I've noticed this massive improvement. Perhaps as Liverpool are usually wank most days in the league matches.

Certainly was nowhere to be found tonight.

He's got a lot of talent, but he's never quite mastered linking that talent to his brain. He does something proper daft every game.

He's got talent like Bruno Cheyrou had it. In the Liverpool manager's mind.

His "only" deficit is that he is just really really stupid. Zero understanding of the game. No discipline and atrocious decision making. It is the same since playing for Munich´s youth team and he hasn´t improved in this aspect at all. Additionally he also doesn´t seem to cope well with big games and carrying reponsibility; he tries too much and is even more rash, when he needs to be calm.

I did say going to be great, he's only decent currently. Obviously needs to work on consistency but he was very solid against us in both legs.

Thats what I was referring to my bad, I think he will be a good premier leauge player, not sure about great, you know Scholes Keane Viera Gerrard Lampard Yaya level

He had a run in the team playing a more advanced midfield role when Wijnaldum was injured and he did well there (scoring a few goals as well).

He's not currently first choice though so it's hard for him to build up any form. He struggled yesterday when asked to play Henderson's role. I thought he was very good against City though.

The improvement he has made under Klopp has been nothing short of astounding. Seems to be getting better with every game.

If he keep this up, he'll be the best midfielder in the league next season.
He looked better under Rodgers.

I remember how pool fans "ripped bayern off" for Can. Looks the other way around now

He often looks like the best and worst player on the pitch, all in the same game. He'll do something impressive, usually a good run with the ball running beyond 3 or 4 players, then moments later he'll boot the ground and fall over.

Yeah agree with this. I said last night that I don't know what his best attributes are.

What's even more frustrating is that he won't sign a new contract, because he thinks he is worth more than what we're offering. I don't know why he thinks that because his form has been below par at best all season.

He did the same with Bayern and that was the reason for them selling him to Leverkusen, as he had just 1 year left and refused to extend. It worked so well for him, that he is doing it again.

He's been the biggest disappointment by some margin this season. Awful atm. Shouldn't be near the team.
You really did jinx it, didn't you? :P

I have no idea what's up with him, but if what Nostradamus said is true, we shouldn't bother too much.
