Emre Can

Like Henderson, he's pretty good at running around a lot, but does he do much more than that?
He's like Sissoko in the sense that he has a great match once in a while where he looks like an awesome b2b midfielder who does everything but overall he makes to many mistakes and isn't smart enough from a tactical perspective that you'd want him starting in your team over the course of a season if you want to challenge for the title.

The only reason most of us would ever want to see him here is for the LFC meltdown.

God no. Only if hypothetical scenario where he signs for 1 year, scores an injury-time winner at Anfield and kisses the badge in front of the Kop.

What I find bizarre is how he plays so often for Germany.

Typical Liverpoool player, thinks and acts on the pitch like he is far better than he really is. I have no idea why so many Liverpool players are like that.

He's press-resistant and has a surprisingly decent dribble on him for such a big guy. I can easily see him becoming as good as Mousa Dembele under the right development.

 what? Which Liverpool player thinks and acts like they are better than what they are? For your information, the only one who does daft shit thinking that they are better than they are is Lovren, like when he tried a Cruyff turn on the half way line against West Ham and they countered.

Can, Henderson, Coutinho, Lovren, etc.

Henderson knows deep down inside he is average. After the Watford goal I won't let anybody badmouth Can, he's lacking consistency but he's class when on form. Coutinho? Absurd! Lovren is shite, I actually really like him and I can tell he wants to succeed with us but it is what it is, so I'll give you that one.

His basic technical and physical abilities were always very good, but the problem since the beginning has been reading the game and consistently making the right decisions. It seems to me that he has matured to some degree by now (I don't watch Liverpool a lot), but I also think there's simply a limit to his abilities in that respect. Dembele is a much better passer/buildup player to me.

Fair enough. I haven't seen a lot of him either. I watched him against Chile in the Confederations Cup (group stage) and he was very impressive against Vidal. His technical and physical abilities are clear.

Goes through periods of looking like he's stepping up and then periods of looking average. Think he'll be decent for whoever he goes to but can't say I'm hugely bothered that he's most likely leaving.

Press resistant ? Not too sure about that one, Wijnaldum/Lallana yeah but Hendo/Can are our two least press resistant midfielders. Can's problem is he hasn't been given a position, he looks excellent as a DM then gets shifted and vice versa all season long.
Him and Henderson are both excellent when they have big open spaces ahead of them, so in big games with lots of room to manoeuvre they thrive. In regular games v the PTB sides they struggle, doubly so when it's two of them in the same midfield without a defined role.
This season he's been great vs Hoffenheim/Arsenal then bloody awful since, failing to track runners and jogging back making basic mistakes and going back to slowing down the tempo . Our midfield needs a specific balance to make the whole side work, often we don't have that due to injuries/Klopp's descions ( transfer related or otherwise )
In a different set up such as yours he might work better with a different play styles and a more defined role, he could be a good b2b for you. For us in that position I don't see it unless it's in the big games. DM is the only position I can see him in our side and he has to work on his defensive nous and quickly.
We need Keita/Lallana/Coutinho style players in the 8 in a 3 man midfield with the way we play. For all the system talk atm it's very player dependant. Maybe that'll change next season if we switch formations.
He's got a lot more ability than given credit for, I'm just not sure this Liverpool side is getting the best out of most the players atm.

He can be really good, he improved at Liverpool over the last 2 years. On a free and as a squad player, he is obviously a good buy, but not sure i would want him starting every game, makes too many mistakes for a midfielder.

He's an okay squad player for our national team, but, barring injuries of better players, I don't expect to see him starting at the WC (outside maybe some group matches after we're already certainly through). Will probably get appearances in the last 10-15 minutes.

There are 5/6 CMs ahead of him right now, i'm not even sure if he'll make it to the world cup. Kroos, Weigl, Goretzka, Rudy, Khedira, (Gündogan?) could/should be enough.
