Everyone better get their apologies ready for when he delivers us Ronnie and Fabregas.

This poor bastard must still be jet lagged because he is doing sod all since he returned early from Australia.

Ah I remember that day. Was beautiful for all muppets. Everyone got all excited. Look where we are now----

We did sign a couple of new sponsors.

I'm glad he's focused on securing credit card deals for Kenya rather than signing footballers. It's only going to bother supporters that we come out with new deals every two weeks but can't sign a player to save our life.

I don't like that some quarters seem to be lumping Moyes in for some of the blame surrounding Woodward and his team's fumbling behaviour. All Moyes would have done is identify some midfielders he wants, or chased up on targets already identified befor ehe arrived.

Fergie didn't even try to sign a midfielder for many years, and let one of the most talented young midfielders walk out of club without even so much as starting a game. That's much worse, and the reason this is even a problem in the first place.

At least it's become slightly more clear what it is Woodward etc. keep telling everyone that they're "working hard" on all the time...nothing.

I just had a feeling that Moyes + Woodward wouldn't quite match up respect that Fergie + Gill got. Many people slated Gill but in comparison to that bald tosser before him and this idiot we have now I think he did brilliantly.

Woody and Moyes are more like the trotter brothers

Not so fecking easy to negotiate football transfers is it, Equalizer? Certainly not as easy as doing dodgy merger & acquisition acquisitions at JP Morgan. I reckon the Glazers will soon fire his ass.

Thoroughly agree.

Moyes comes out of this window with credit to me regardless just by asserting that 'we must strengthen the midfield'. It's a pity that the only good midfielder on the market this summer appears to have been Thiago, who chose Bayern over us.

Had we applied such an aggressive pursuit in previous summers, we may have been invited to the conversation for players like Gundogan, Vidal, Montolivo or even a Dembele perhaps.

The mere fact that Moyes has identified the issue, and then shown that his intention is to address it by shopping at Harrod's, fills me with encouragement that the wait may soon not only end, but in the manner we would like it to end.

So because Thiago wanted to play for Pep and Fabregas isn't for sale then our chief executive is an idiot?

You lot are fecking weird.

I'm not going to lie, all CEO's are idiots to me after growing up watching Vince McMahon.

That and the fact this "urgent" transfer line that was spun is not putting in him in a good light with some people and you have to understand that.

My honest opinion, I've no clue what to think because, as a United fan, I've been taking out of my comfort zone now and us as fans have to take the time to adjust as well as players, management, coachin staff etc....This new era is a massive change for us all

What a big steaming horseturd of a post this is. Away and wise up.

Thiago not so much. Fabregas is just a stupid situation. We bid low for him, knew Barca wouldn't want to sell, and knew he wasn't going to push through a move. So why spend more than a month publicly chasing the player while repeatedly underbidding? It's a bit like me following Kate Upton asking her out repeatedly offering to take her to McDonalds, then Nandos, and finally offering to take her to Pizza Hut. Why even waste the time on that?

Nice. :)

But if you were good looking enough, she'd go with you.

We need a handsome man to conduct our transfers. I happen to be available.

I agree with this. SAF shoulders the blame for our current MF crisis. There's really nowhere else to point the finger in this case.

For all his talk of leaving the squad in the best possible shape when he retired, he didn't half shaft Moyes when it came to the midfield. I don't think he could have left it in much more of a worse state.

As for Woodward, I don't like the open nature we've had as regards to transfers this Summer. It does somewhat smack of the new kid trying to make a big impression and going in all gung-ho. Hopefully this isnt how its always gonna be with him in charge.

Fergie left the squad about as good as he could leave it. There's no reason Moyes couldn't come in and buy the midfielder of his choice. Getting snubbed by Thiago and Cesc has nothing to do with either Fergie or Moyes. We will get the suitable midfielder and press on.

If Fergie had left Moyes with four or five excellent CM options it would've been too easy for him: He'd be sitting on a more or less ideal squad.

Seriously, though, the state Fergie left our midfield in reflects his own style and priorities. He didn't manage too shabbily with what many have called a sub-par midfield for years now. If Moyes feels it has to be improved - and he should, because he isn't Fergie - he just has to get a couple of player in. Easy, right?

As for Woodward he must be judged on how easy it actually is to get these players in. Losing out on Thiago (reportedly) and Fabregas doesn't say all that much. None were easy targets. I doubt the playing field would've looked any different to Gill as far as these two are concerned.

Gill wouldn't have been so public with it. Expectations would have been managed better.

You have an entire new team in place .. which is stupid to start with. You set high expectations like some rookie manager then you fail to achieve the mentioned targets/goals, it can only set the tone for the rest of then year.

Its an OG situation.
