Karma (Cama) Chameleon has to be his song
I genuinely thought I was the only one who remembered that songOh but it's such a god-awful horrible song. Can't we find something better?
Stan Ridgway's "Camouflage"?
Oh oh oh oh Camavinga
Things are never quite the way they seem
Oh oh oh oh Camavinga
He is the...whatever... of the team
No?
Any substance behind this one more than wishful thinking?
To be honest, United splashed quite a sum on these youngsters in last years. Could be part of general club's policy, starting with Hannibal. Can't see us splashing on an 18 year old as we need a starter in midfield to be competitive.
Wrong thread. This is Camavinga. They're reporting for Varane. Both Simon Stone , Hirst and Ogden reporting among others. This story definately got legs and is real

We were ready to pay a similar amount for Bellingham last season. Can't see us splashing on an 18 year old as we need a starter in midfield to be competitive.
I so crave a box-to-box midfielder, and the only ready-made man is: Mr. Phillips, at Leeds. Man he flies into tackles; I miss that from our midfield. McT does sometimes, but Phillips is just so what we need! I'm tired of these 'specialized' players. Let's have a player in the centre of the park that can do it all, please!
A double pivot of Phillips and Locatelli would be a joy to watch. Both are technically good, can spray long balls, both have grit and can fly into tackles.
With the price tag of Rice, I’d rather have that duo. Pogba can be sold too.
Locatelli is great, and I'm surprised by Phillips. Both would cost a fortune though, but maybe Fred can go the other wayA double pivot of Phillips and Locatelli would be a joy to watch. Both are technically good, can spray long balls, both have grit and can fly into tackles.

One can dream although I'd rather keep him than McTFred is going nowhere
The fact you want rid of your best water carrier is a bit surprising to be honest! He's starting over Fabinho in the Brazil squad right now, maybe he's not as bad as you think? One can dream although I'd rather keep him than McT
Well, that's the thing with him. He's been very good at other places, just not really for UnitedThe fact you want rid of your best water carrier is a bit surprising to be honest! He's starting over Fabinho in the Brazil squad right now, maybe he's not as bad as you think?
Grass isn't always greener.
That's just not true i'm afraid. What he's in the team for he is very good at. Perhaps you just don't recognise or respect the defensive work he does?Well, that's the thing with him. He's been very good at other places, just not really for United
Andre-Pierre Gignac is still knocking around in the Mexican league and France are taking him to the Olympics?
it's his son
surely not?
In most games, he's mediocre at best. Tell me a period of time when he's been great for more than 4 gamesThat's just not true i'm afraid. What he's in the team for he is very good at. Perhaps you just don't recognise or respect the defensive work he does?

What you're looking for in his performances clearly isn't understanding the role he plays in the side. He covers for Rashford on the left wing and does double the defensive work as a midfielder and left winger.
He presses more than anybody in our team and often scoops up the loose balls, or pressures enough that somebody else gets the interception.
If he was so bad how does he play for Brazil of all people? It's not like they're short on quality.
That's quite optimistic description of Camavinga you wrote. Signing him would be definitely brave attempt in refreshing our midfield. Do you reckon he would step up immediately to Premier League's physicality & tempo ? ...because the chances are he could look bit raw at the beginning, same goes to Hannibal.Disagree on this comparison. We have splashed out on Amad and Hannibal as future prospects. They barely had a first team appearance between them for there clubs. Pellestri played quite a few games, in a tiny league quality wise though. They were all investments for the next 2/3years as having a big impact.
Camavinga has around 80 apperances, 3 caps for arguably the most talented squad in world football and has played in Europe too. He is much further on than the kind of young signings we have made and is just being compared because he is so young. Not saying he is the fnishised article or wont have the nconsistencies youngsters do. But I think its incredible the progress he has already made for his age in that position. I cant think of many players in a long time who have done similar.Of coruse there is the concern of a Renato Sanches happening who had similar experience so young before a big move.
But Camavinga appearance wise is really only a season worth of games behind some of the really highly rated players we have been linked with that are 4-5years older. He is pretty much ready for the next step up to progress his career for me and he is as talented if not more than pretty much all the other names mentioned.
For me already he is a significant upgrade on what we already have. Over the next couple of seasons he is a potential superstar. Different player, but for me this is like signing Bellingham this summer
Imo if we really want him we'll get him. He'll go to a big club this summer. Our main problem is convincing him to move from France by the sounds of things. Hopefully Murtough and Fletcher can convince him that our ambitions match his and we're the right club for him to develop as a player.
