Edinson Cavani

Will they spend more, or is Cavani the last signing? Surely they can't have much more to spend?

This is good news. I think Cavani is the best of the strikers moving about this summer, so thankfully he's not gone to Chelsea/City.

I wish we had a player PSG was interested in so we could sell for 100m euro. I would easily sell Vidic or Evra for 50m if they were willing to pay up.

It's no wonder players choose Paris, it's a beautiful city and must be absolutely fantastic one to live in when you're a millionaire, in terms of history and prestige PSG isn't far behind City and Chelsea either and they offer top dollar too. City and Chelsea, both of whom need a top striker (especially Chelsea) are slowly running out of options.

Nah, this just means our only option is Rooney! Although I must admit Joses pulling power seems to have waned a little!

Who on this godly earth is going to pay for Ibra?

So is Ibra off for sure then?

Chelsea could ?

Mou and Ibra... They would love each other.

I've been listening to Talksport all evening & yer man Marcotti was on for about 2hrs & he was sayin how much the big-nosed prick Ibra's on at PSG - it's about £500,000 per week for feck sake & thats after tax too. Is he really earning that much?

But perhaps made the titles we did win a bit more relevant?

Ah yeah of course man. You cant beat the fact we've seen off the challenges of Liverpool (much of their own doing by not plannin ahead), Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea & City, while they were havin a small-medium period of domestic domination. Now we have, realistically, Chelsea & City coming at us with full-barrels from now on every season, with Pool, Spuds & Arsenal capable of takin points off us on a regular basis away from home too!

I think Rooney has been top of Mourinhos wish list anyway, personally.

Every top club in the Prem would love Rooney. He's only 27 (28 in Oct), it would sort his head out if he left (thriving on a new challenge etc), he would be the main man at those clubs & it would most likely reignite the beast in himself again..

So let the fecker run down his contract & let him leave for free because he'll haunt us if he goes to a top Prem team, or he can feckin knuckle-down & make his name the first name on the tablet.. lazy whinging cnut!

Interesting.... So apparently Moyes was interested in buying him in the summer, but felt a left back and CM were more of a priority- both of which he failed to accomplish. Unhappy in Paris, but the question is: If he was available, should we try and sign him? RvP will be 31 next season and seems to have his injury woes back, Rooney will be on his last year and potentially moving, and Hernandez and Welbeck aren't ones to be leading men for a top club week in week out (yet). He's 2nd top scorer in Ligue 1, scored loads of goals in Serie A, he just scores. If we got a left back, a centre back and a CM with money spare, I reckon this transfer would be huge, but only if the unhappy rumours are true and PSG were willing to sell.

So I wonder which one of our strikers is leaving?

Only can say Welbeck is safe in the summer.

Rooney will probably leave and RvP is starting to get up there in age. I don't really know much about PSG but it seems like Ibra will be leaving soon as well, they won't want to lose Ibra and Cavani.

It'd be the ideal club for us to ship Rooney off to...

'Unimpressed with Ligue 1' It's fantastic, the guy moves for €65M (in fairness he had nothing to do with the fee), spends 6 months here and wants to leave. You've got to love modern day football.

Can't really blame him, the league is just too easy for PSG.

If you follow the rumour mill, it appears the market is changing now in that players who join clubs in the summer are already considering options in January. I know the market is complex, and a lot of shady stuff goes on behind the scenes, and I wouldn't be surprised if players and agents agreed bridging moves in order to get a player from one club to another. That said, in theory, I agree with sometimes cutting losses early. Not everything needs to be assessed over years. If a move isn't working out for both parties, end it asap.

Capoue could be off to Napoli by several accounts, Lamela has been linked with several moves too. There are more that I can't recall too.

Well, that isn't entirely true.

I have no objection to signing Cavani but c'mon, there are really more important issues to address.

It's from Fergies book of management.

Playing badly? play another striker. Losing the league? buy another striker. Can't defend? hoof the ball to the strikers.

There are few things I wouldn't do if it meant Cavani played for United.
