Yeah it is, I checked. I'm PUMPED!
The way this was hyped up you'd think it was going to be arguably the best episode ever, but there's a few I'd put before it.
Well, I enjoyed it you miserable fecks!
They always do this. Build it up and built it up again until its a bigger and bigger anti-climax. The idea itself is great, but they don't have the budget or the directorship to pull it off as spectacularly as they would like.In Doctor Who, all the best ideas and themes end up being anti-climatic and boring. Even going back to season one (of the current generation), Bad Wolf, Darkness will Fall, Cracks in the Universe and the Explosion of the TARDIS, have all been rushed and quite badly done.
It was possibly easier with Tennants doctor as they had less overarching themes, I think.
It seems the yanks are into this big time. They have been holding screenings over in yank land for this. Why ?![]()
There were screenings in the UK, just got back from one. It was quite something in 3D and huge tbf, if only for Piper and Coleman
Though it was quite good but not epic, trying to figure how this fits into tenants return of the timelords episode. I guess that was the rewritten history but he had knowledge of them being trapped where as he shouldn't have....i think

I could understand screenings in the UK but why are so many yanks so into this![]()
As with all these cluster feck super hero type films/tv specials/whatever, the best bits were the bickering.
Looks like the Christmas episode will be a massive battle between the doctor and everyone.
As long as that includes the Scara Deglegations, the Horde of Travesties and the Nightmare Child (who could have been king with his army of mean-wahs and never-weres) then I will be happy.
I enjoyed that. John Hurt was brilliant, story was ok and I'm glad it made some sense by the end of it.

Does know one understand the bit at the end? David and Hurt won't remember this I don't think. 11 will only remember it, from this point in time. Gallifrey still exists in a pocket, but David and Hurt don't know that. Wibbley Wobbley Timey Wimey and all that.
How can you just walk out of a photo whenever you want if it's a frozen image of time? You wouldn't know when to walk out because you'd be frozen in the image! Otherwise everyone would just wander in and out at will! Darleks would pop out whenever they fancied a visit to the chippy!
That still means there's a plot hole in that the Doctor thinks he destroyed Gallifrey entirely at the point of the other Christmas special. Meaning the whole idea of Gallifrey and the Time War coming out of a time locked parallel universe is wrong because Gallifrey, to the Doctor's knowledge, no longer exists because he pushed the button.
I'm sure the questions will be answered.
